Abstract:
The invention relates to a device, in particular a garden device, having a band-shaped carrier that comprises an operating manual or other information that is provided as a multi-layer roll in the resting position. According to the invention, a hollow chamber is integrated in the device housing as a carrier support for the wound carrier and/or a self-winding film is used as a carrier.
Abstract:
A stable resonator for solid-state lasers which exhibit a thermally induced lensing effect, includes a laser rod, a rear mirror and a semi-reflecting output mirror. The invention is characterized in that the rear mirror has an extremely asymmetrical configuration, allowing the laser rod to move totally or almost totally toward the side of the output mirror. The laser rod is curved in a convex manner on one end in order to achieve a refractive effect, and a convex rear mirror is provided. As a result of the extreme asymmetry, the resonator has a beam quality as a function of the pump power with a comparably flat maximum even at relatively short resonator lengths in contrast to the state of the art. The effects of the thermal lens have practically no influence on processing results. Starting pulse behavior lies below the detection limit.
Abstract:
A method of producing dimethyl ether by catalytic dehydration of crude methanol as feedstock in the gas phase includes providing the crude methanol from methanol synthesis, where the crude methanol having a total content of carbonyl compounds of not more than 100 wt-ppm, calculated, as mass equivalents of acetone. The crude methanol is evaporated, and the reaction temperature and reaction pressure are adjusted. A reactor filled with dehydration catalyst is charged with the evaporated crude methanol with a defined space velocity. A gaseous product mixture comprising dimethyl ether, non-reacted methanol and water is discharged. Cooling, partial condensation and separation of the gaseous product mixture are carried out so as to provide gaseous dimethyl ether, liquid water and methanol as products, and the methanol is recirculated.
Abstract:
A process and a plant for producing C2-C4 olefins, in particular propylene, from an educt mixture containing steam as well as methanol vapor and/or dimethyl ether vapor. The educt mixture is reacted in at least one first reactor on a granular, form-selective zeolite catalyst to obtain a reaction mixture including low-molecular olefins and gasoline hydrocarbons, which in a first separating device is separated into a mixture rich in C2-C4 olefins, a mixture rich in C5+ gasoline hydrocarbons, and an aqueous phase, wherein the mixture rich in gasoline hydrocarbons is mixed with an inert medium, the mixture thus obtained is reacted in at least one second reactor on a granular zeolite catalyst to obtain a product mixture including C2-C4 olefins, and this product mixture is recirculated to the first separating device, and wherein the mixture rich in C5+ gasoline hydrocarbons is separated in a second separating device into a product stream containing C5-C6 hydrocarbons and a product stream containing C7+ hydrocarbons, before being supplied to the second reactor, and only the product stream containing C7+ hydrocarbons is supplied to the second reactor, whereas the product stream containing C5-C6 hydrocarbons together with the educt mixture is supplied to the at least one first reactor.
Abstract:
Mechanical inversion of direction of a rotating control component of a landscape sprinkler device. Such a device, having a switching member with end stops associated therewith in both pivoting directions the control component, against said stops the switching member stops and is actuated, wherein at least one end stop can be adjusted coaxially with respect to a pivoting axis of the control component. The switching member is configured in an elastically resilient manner on the contact region thereof that is positioned at the height of the end stops such that the contact region retreats back from the adjusting path of the end stop in case of an overload, and devices are provided in order to re-establish the contact region at a defined position in the rotation angle region between the two end slops from the retreated position.
Abstract:
A process and a plant for producing an olefin stream from a hydrocarbon mixture feed stream, wherein the olefin stream is depleted as regards its content of oxygen-containing organic compounds (oxygenates) as compared to the feed stream. The hydrocarbon mixture feed stream is charged to a separation column operated by a thermal separation process, for example to a distillation column, wherein a material stream enriched in oxygenates is withdrawn via a side outlet and removed from the process. The process according to the invention is particularly useful for processing the product streams obtained in the olefin synthesis by an OTO process.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a plant watering system, in particular for a drip watering system. According to the invention, said system comprises a water transport line operating according to the capillary effect principle, comprising a fibrous material arranged in a water-tight covering (HU) arranged between a water reservoir (VB) and a plant pot (TO), in particular a pot (TO) filled with a soil substrate (ES). Said fibrous material consists of a non-woven containing a mixture of microfilaments formed from of at least two different plastic materials and has a titer of preferably less than 1.0 dTex. Said fibrous material is preferably in the form of a strip (SB).
