摘要: A roofing membrane temperature indicator is provided for preventing the installation of a roofing membrane or roofing membranes at a temperature below a minimum recommended installation temperature for the roofing membrane(s) and/or a minimum recommended installation temperature for the roofing membrane(s) for a particular installation procedure. The membrane temperature indicator is visibly associated with the roofing membrane(s) and includes a thermochromic indicator having a first color at temperatures below a designated temperature and a second color visibly different from the first color at and above the designated temperature. The designated temperature at which the color of the membrane indicator changes is at or above a minimum recommended installation temperature for the roofing membrane(s) and/or a minimum recommended installation temperature for the roofing membrane(s) for a particular installation procedure.

摘要: A prefabricated multi-layer roofing panel is utilized in a roofing system for low-slope roofs. The prefabricated roofing panel includes: an insulation layer that may have a self-adhering means on its bottom major surface for securing the roofing panel to a roofing substrate; a cover board that overlies and is bonded to the insulation layer, and a waterproofing membrane that overlies and is bonded to the cover board. The waterproofing membrane may have waterproofing membrane overlaps for overlapping and being bonded to the waterproofing membranes of other roofing panels in the formation of a roofing system. Preferably, the insulation layer includes interlocking structure for interlocking the prefabricated multi-layer roofing panels together in the roofing system.

摘要: A digital video editing and playback system and methods of editing and playing back digital video are provided. The system includes a video processor adapted to receive video segments from multiple sources. The video segments include synchronization information. The video processor includes software instructions adapted to be executed by the video processor. The software instructions are adapted to evaluate the synchronization information from various video segments and to form associations between video segments from different sources that correspond to a common event.

摘要: Edges in cytological image data are identified by obtaining a digital image of a specimen and computing a gradient image from the obtained digital image. A scaling function is applied to the grayscale image to identify regions of interest (e.g., edges of cell nuclei) in the digital image. Edges of the regions of interest are then identified based on the product of the computed gradient image and the scaling image. The scaling function may be applied to each image frame and one or more scaling thresholds are established for each frame to selectively pass, suppress, or scale pixels based on their measured intensity values. The scaled image resulting from application of the scaling function is multiplied with the gradient image to produce a targeted gradient image that identifies the edges of the region of interest. The targeted gradient image isolates edges corresponding to particular cellular structures, while rejecting other edges within the image.

摘要: An introducer is provided for introducing a cannula for subcutaneous administration of fluid into a patient. The fluid is generally a medication, for example, insulin. The cannula is in fluid communication with a fluid passageway surrounded by a projection on the cannula housing that includes one or more rail-like extensions acting as connection guides. The introducer includes an introducer needle and one or more guide arms that slide over the rail-like extensions to guide the needle into the self-sealing septum. The introducer includes one or more locking arms, with barbs at the end, to connect with one or more recesses that are provided in the cannula housing.
