    摘要: A gas-mixing device for respirators can be used both in stationary operation and in mobile operation. The gas-mixing device has a storage tank (5), into which compressed air and oxygen can be introduced by dispensing valves (3, 8). In addition, a blower (10), which draws in gas from the environment (11), is connected to the storage tank (5). To dispense gas from the pressurized gas sources (4, 6) by means of the dispensing valves (3, 8), a first operating pressure level is set in the storage tank (5). When changing over to the blower operation, the operating pressure level is lowered to a pressure level adapted to the maximum respiration pressure.

    摘要: A valve arrangement is provided with a very short minimum valve adjustment time. This is especially suitable for use in respirators or anesthesia apparatuses for metering gases for respirated patients. It has a valve (3, 4) with a seat (3) and with a valve closing part (4) for adjusting the gas flow rate, an inflow line (1) and a discharge line (2) as well as a drive system (5) for controlling the position of the valve closing part (4) relative to the seat (3). A gas flow rate measuring transducer (8) and a control unit (9) are provided for controlling the drive system (5) by means of a control signal. A velocity measuring transducer (7) for measuring the velocity of the valve closing means (4) relative to the seat (3) is present to provide an output signal used to calculate the control signal (40) for the drive system (5).

Provisions are made for branching off a first measuring gas line (23) with a first electrochemical measuring cell (28) from the breathing gas line (7). A first throttling point (26) is arranged in the course of the first measuring gas line (23) between the first electrochemical measuring cell (28) and the breathing gas line (7). A first pressure sensor (29), for the pressure correction, is located downstream of the first electrochemical measuring cell (28).

    摘要: A water cooling box for providing laminar cooling water to metal sheets. A slit nozzle, extending across the width of the sheets to be cooled is provided with a means for effecting a water pressure drop. The slit nozzle, in one embodiment, has parallel walls and is provided with a cylindrical rod spaced slightly above the nozzle entrance. In another embodiment, the walls of the slit nozzle progressively diverge from the entrance to the nozzle exit. In yet a third embodiment, the slit nozzle, at the entrance, has a length of parallel walls and then, at a point below the entrance, has progressively diverging walls. The structural details of the water box are also described.
