摘要: A tube assembly includes a first tube piece and a second tube piece. The first tube piece includes an inlet end connecting a gas source and an outlet end connecting the second tube piece. The first tube piece includes a discharging hole that is configured so that, in a connecting state, the discharging hole is closed to make the gas to enter the second tube piece, in the separating state, the discharging hole is opened to make the gas to be discharged outside from the discharging hole. The tube assembly includes a valve member that is configured so that, in the connecting state, the valve member opens the outlet end of the first tube piece to make the gas to enter the second tube piece, and in the separating state, the valve member closes the outlet end to make the gas to be discharged outside from the discharging hole.

摘要: A medical ventilation apparatus is disclosed. The medical ventilation apparatus is used for being communicationally connected to a monitor. The medical ventilation apparatus is configured to perform respiratory therapy on a patient, and the medical ventilation apparatus includes a display device for displaying respiratory therapy parameters of the medical ventilation apparatus. The medical ventilation apparatus is further used for obtaining a control instruction input by a user, and at least controlling, based on the control instruction, the monitor to work. The medical ventilation apparatus can control the monitor to improve the operation efficiency in the process of ventilation and monitoring and reduce the workload of medical staff.

摘要: Breathable medical circuit components and materials and methods for forming these components incorporate breathable foamed materials that are permeable to water vapor and substantially impermeable to liquid water and the bulk flow of gases. The materials and methods can be incorporated into a variety of components, including tubes, Y-connectors, catheter mounts, and patient interfaces and are suitable for use in a variety of medical circuits, including insufflation, anesthesia, and breathing circuits.

摘要: Systems and methods for model-driven system integration on a ventilator comprise a modeled exhalation flow. Ventilator flow sensors contain components that are easily damaged or impacted and have high rates of failure. Knowledge failure frequency and type may help determine when to replace, clean, or calibrate a flow sensor. A modeled exhalation flow may be trained for a ventilator. Additionally, the modeled exhalation flow may be compared to a flow sensor flow to determine a specific failure. Additionally or alternatively, the modeled exhalation flow may supplement, weight, or replace a faulty flow sensor measurement. These systems and methods may assist in identifying an inaccurate flow sensor measurement and/or providing a more accurate modeled flow estimate, thus increasing accuracy in patient-ventilator interactions.

摘要: A conduit for delivering a supply of gas under a positive pressure includes a conduit wall having a first conduit end and a second conduit end. The first conduit end is adapted to be attached to the supply of gas. The conduit wall is deformable between (a) an open condition in which the conduit wall defines a conduit passage along which the supply of gas can travel between the first conduit end to the second conduit end, and (b) a collapsed condition in which the conduit wall substantially collapses the conduit passage.

摘要: A positive airway pressure device includes a blower and a base. A blower outlet passage is connected to the blower and has a central tubular portion and a flexible sealing portion surrounding an outer circumferential surface of the central tubular portion. The base receives a tub with a heat conducting base plate, an internal air passage configured to receive the pressurized flow of respiratory gas from the blower outlet passage, and a pair of tub flanges extending laterally from respective side walls of the tub. Each tub flange has a horizontal portion and a tapered portion. The base further includes a floor with a heater plate a pair of base flanges. Each base flange extends laterally inward from a respective one of the side walls and engages a respective tub flange as the tub is inserted into the base with the tapered portions of the tub flanges being received first.

摘要: Methods and apparatus provide automated circuit disconnection monitoring such as for a respiratory apparatus or system. Disconnection of a patient circuit, including a patient interface and air delivery circuit, may be detected and a message or alarm activated. In some versions, detecting occurrences of circuit disconnection event(s), such as by a processor, may be based on an instantaneous disconnection parameter as a function of a disconnection setting. The disconnection setting may be determined based on patient circuit type. The instantaneous disconnection parameter may be determined from detected pressure and flow rate, and may be, for example, a conductance value or an impedance value. Disconnection events may be qualified by one or more detected respiratory indicators. In some cases, instantaneous impedance or conductance may be used to assess re-connection of a patient circuit, detection of flow starvation, determine breath shape for triggering and cycling and to detect patient or circuit obstructions.

摘要: A respiratory therapy system configured to deliver gases to a patient can have a non-sealed gas flow generating arrangement configured to deliver a high flow of positive gas to an airway of a patient and a negative flow of gas away from an airway of the patient. The positive and negative flows of gas can be generated simultaneously. The flow of positive and negative gases reduces exhaled gases in anatomical dead spaces of the patient.

摘要: A method of continuously forming an axially extensible and retractable hose comprising: continuously forming an axially extending helix with axially spaced reinforcing coils from extruded thermoplastic material having a uniform cross-section along its length; and continuously bridging between an adjacent pair of the reinforcing coils with a continuous web of extruded thermoplastic material of substantially uniform width and relatively thin cross-section to form a continuous, helically extending sidewall, with the web having one of two opposite edge regions bonded continuously to a relatively flat outer bonding surface of a radially outwardly located portion of one of the adjacent pair of reinforcing coils, with the web having the other of the edge regions bonded continuously to a relatively flat inner bonding surface of a radially inwardly located portion of the other of the pair of reinforcing coils, and with the edge regions continuously radially separated from each other by the helix.
