The device provides useful light emissions.

摘要: The present disclosure provides an electroluminescent device comprising a light-emitting layer containing a blue or a blue-green fluorescent light emitting material that is comprised of a dialkyl-gallium moiety coordinated to a bidentate nitrogen bonding chelating ligand to form a gallium containing 6-membered heteroatom ring. The invention also provides a display or area lighting device including the OLED device, a process for emitting light, and a dialkyl-gallium chelate complex. The device provides unexpected and useful light emissions in the blue and green regions of the visible spectrum.

摘要: An OLED device comprises a cathode and anode and having therebetween a light-emitting layer, wherein there is located between the cathode and the light-emitting layer a further layer, not contiguous to the light-emitting layer, containing a metal complex of 3 bidentate ligands having Formula (1): wherein: each Za and each Zb is independently selected and each represents the atoms necessary to complete an unsaturated ring; Za and Zb are directly bonded to one another provided Za and Zb may be further linked together to form a fused ring system; and wherein the further layer also comprises an alkali metal material. Materials of the invention provide offer good luminance and reduced drive voltage.

The first layer includes a first complex comprising gallium and the second layer includes a second complex also comprising gallium and wherein the second complex has a more negative LUMO than the first complex. Such materials can provide an improvement in one or more of luminance, drive voltage, and stability.
