摘要: A connector has a housing (20) with cavities (26) for receiving terminals (10). A lock (30) projects is provided in each cavity (26) and has a forwardly tapered locking surface (32) that is sloped to project more forward at the base than at the top. The connector also has a retainer (50) with a restricting plate (53) to prevent displacement of the locks (30) toward deformation spaces (36). Push-up protrusions (60) of the restricting plate (53) slip under the lower surfaces of the locks (30) as the retainer (50) is pushed towards a full locking position and push the locks (30) up towards cavities (26). A cam action of the sloped locking surfaces (32) pushes the female terminals (10) forward and against front walls (27).

摘要: A housing (30) has cavities (31) for receiving terminal fittings (10), and a lock (33) is provided in each cavity (31). The terminal fitting (10) temporarily resiliently deforms the lock (33) when the terminal fitting (10) is inserted into the cavity (31). The lock (33) then is restored resiliently to engage the terminal fitting (10) when the terminal fitting (10) reaches a proper depth. An outer wall (17) of the terminal fitting (10) facing the lock (33) has a locking projection (27) projecting toward and engageable with the lock (33). A recess (54) is formed in a surface of the lock (33) that slides in contact with the locking projection (27) in an inserting process. An arcuate surface (29a) of the locking projection (27) and a bottom surface (54a) of the recess (54) have substantially conforming shapes.

摘要: An electrical connector comprises a contact having a wire connection member and a mating contact receiving end. The mating contact receiving end includes an abutment edge and an inclined portion. A housing has a contact receiving opening with a contact receiving end. The housing has a projection extending into the contact receiving opening and a first bevelled surface opposing the projection. The first bevelled surface is arranged closer to the contact receiving end than the projection. The inclined portion engages the first bevelled surface to bias the abutment edge into the projection when the contact is incorrectly inserted into the contact receiving opening.

摘要: A first connector housing is provided with a flexible lock arm. A tubular fitting detector is fitted to an outer periphery of the first connector housing while being slidable thereon between a first position and a second position. A retainer is provided on the fitting detector, and adapted to be engaged with a first portion of the lock arm in a case where the fitting detector is placed at the first position, and engaged with a second portion of the lock arm in a case where the fitting detector is placed at the second position. A second connector housing is provided with a projection adapted to release the engagement between the retainer and the first portion of the lock arm in a case where the second connector housing is completely fitted with the first connector housing, so that the fitting detector is allowed to slide from the first position to the second position. A finger pad is provided on the fitting detector, and arranged such that an operator's finger is placeable thereon while being separated from at least the lock arm, during a fitting operation between the first connector housing and the second connector housing.

摘要: A shielding shell (18) is integrated into a housing (5) by insert molding, whereas a shell connecting member (22) is mounted on an end of a braided wire (2) of a shielded cable (1) by crimping a crimping ring (23) and can be brought into contact with the inner surface of the shielding shell (18). A cover (17) is mounted on the rear end of the housing (5) to retain the shell connecting member (22). As the crimping ring (23) is crimped, ribs (26) are formed to project and each of them is engageable with any one of turn preventing recesses (35) arranged at a plurality of positions along circumferential direction on the inner circumferential surface of the cover (17). Thus, the shell connecting member (22) is prevented from turning, thereby causing no abrasion at contact portions with the shielding shell (18).
