Each of the printing assemblies having a photosensitive body, a charger, an optical head for forming an electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive body, a developing device, and a transfer element. An optical sensor is used to read marks formed on the paper conveyor belt. The top cover opens an optical passage of the optical sensor when the apparatus is in operation and shuts off the optical passage when the apparatus is not in operation.

    摘要: An image forming apparatus which includes a frame, a top cover pivotally mounted to the frame, a lock member for locking the top cover onto the frame, a plurality of printing assemblies, a fixing device, and a paper conveyer belt. Each of the printing assemblies includes a photosensitive body, a charger, an optical head for forming an electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive body, a developing device, and a transfer element. The optical heads are mounted to the top cover. A cover lifting mechanism is provided for lifting the top cover by a predetermined amount relative to the frame when the lock member is released. The lifting mechanism includes a spring loaded rod which is linked to a cover releasing button.

    摘要: An assembly is formed of a first core and a second core on which cores an ink ribbon is wound and a supporting member detachably supporting the first and second cores so as to keep them a predetermined distance. The assembly is set into a setting hole formed on a bottom plate of a cassette body, the setting hole being divided into a first hole part for rotatably supporting the first core, a second hole part for rotatably supporting the second core, and a third hole part connecting the first and second hole parts which are a predetermined distance from each other, the distance between the first and second cores supported by the supporting member corresponding to the distance between the first and second hole parts. The supporting member is detachable from the first and second cores and drawn from the cassette body through the setting hole, so that the first and second cores respectively remain in the cassette body in a state where the first and second cores are respectively set into the first and second hole parts formed on the bottom plate of the cassette body.

    摘要: Disclosed is a liquid detection device wherein a condition in which there is no liquid remaining in either a storage member or a tank and a condition in which there is liquid remaining in at least either the storage member or the tank are easily discriminated using a single mechanism. When there is oil (liquid) remaining in at least either the oil tank or the impregnated member (storage member), light emitted from a light emitting part is passed into the oil through a prism face located partway along the light path, and does not reach a light receiving part. On the other hand, when there is no oil remaining in either the oil tank or the impregnated member, the emitted light reaches the light receiving part. When the oil tank itself is not mounted, the light emitted from the light emitting part also reaches the light receiving part. When the light emitted from the light emitting part is not detected by the light receiving part, a controller determines that there is oil.
