    摘要： An image forming apparatus usable with a process cartridge for forming an image on a recording material. The process cartridge includes an image bearing member, and at least one developing device for developing a latent image formed on the image bearing member with a developer. Each of said at least one developing devices includes a developer accommodating device for accommodating a respective developer to be used in said at least one developing device. The image forming apparatus includes a mounting device for mounting the process cartridge, an auxiliary developing device exterior to the process cartridge for developing a latent image formed on the image bearing member with a developer, the auxiliary developing device including an auxiliary developer accommodating device for accommodating the developer to be used in the auxiliary developing device, and a detecting device for detecting a respective predetermined level of developer in the auxiliary developer accommodating device and in each of the respective developer accommodating devices of said at least one developing device.

A transfer member supporting member, for supporting a transfer member at a transfer position at which the toner image on the image carrier is transferred to the transfer member, has a dielectric layer defining its outer surface and an elastic layer provided inside the dielectric layer. The elastic layer preferably has a compression range between about 0 to 2 mm at the transfer position, and the total pressure of this compression is about 1 kg/mm in this compression range.

Thus, the distance between the recess and the bearing portion, is regulated the rotatable member being movable between a first position in which the abutting portion abuts against the recording medium bearing member and a second position in which the regulating portion abuts against the recording medium bearing member. The regulating portion is spaced apart from the recording medium bearing member when the abutting portion is abutted against the recording medium bearing member.

    摘要： An image forming apparatus has an image bearing member bearing images thereon and movable, and a transfer medium bearing member provided in pressure contact with the image bearing member and bearing a transfer medium thereon and rotatable. The transfer medium bearing member has a sheet member for bearing the transfer medium thereon, and an elastic layer supporting that area of the sheet member bearing the transfer medium thereon from the inside of the sheet member. A voltage is applied to the transfer medium bearing member to transfer the images on the image bearing member to the transfer medium born on the sheet member. The sheet member has an area not fixed to the elastic layer. The transfer medium bearing member is rotated with a potential difference created between the image bearing member and the sheet member before the operation of transferring the images on the image bearing member to the transfer medium born on the sheet member is started.

    摘要： A method is provided for device detection by a base station comprising receiving a plurality of signals over a preamble subframe from an endpoint. The plurality of signals are attempting to access an access group of the preamble subframe. Additionally, the plurality of signals are received on a random access channel using a wireless network. Further, the plurality of signals have a plurality of last gasp messages (LGMs). The method additionally comprises determining an allowable rate of collisions for the plurality of signals and determining an actual rate of collisions for the plurality of signals. The method includes increasing the size of the access group allocated to the plurality of signals having the plurality of LGMs, based on whether the actual rate of collisions exceeds the allowable rate of collisions.
