摘要： An electrophotographic photosensitive member is constituted by a support and a photosensitive layer disposed on the support. The photosensitive layer includes a fluorene compound represented by a formula (1) and a stilbene compound represented by a formula (4). The compounds of the formulas (1) and and (4) may preferably be used as a charge transport material. The combination of such compounds is effective in improving resistances to abrasion, crack and crystallization of the resultant photosensitive layer.

摘要： An electrophotographic apparatus includes an electrophotographic photosensitive member; a charger for charging the electrophotographic photosensitive member including a charging member supplied with a voltage and disposed in contact with the photosensitive member so as to form a nip with the photosensitive member to charge the photosensitive member; an exposure device; a developing device; and a transfer device. The photosensitive member includes a surface layer containing a charge-transporting material having an oxidation potential of 0.4-1.0 volt. Charging promoter particles are present at the nip between the photosensitive member and the charging member to injection-charge the photosensitive member. Because of the selection of the charge-transporting material and the presence of the charging promoter particles, the photosensitive member can be effectively injection-charged.

摘要： An electrophotographic photosensitive member is disclosed which is excellent in cleaning performance, has improved durability, and suppresses image defects in various environments. The electrophotographic photosensitive member has a support and a photosensitive layer provided on the support. Depressed portions independent of one another are formed on the surface of the electrophotographic photosensitive member so that the number of the depressed portions per 100 μm square is 76 or more and 1,000 or less. The openings of the depressed portions have an average major axis diameter of more than 3.0 μm and 14.0 μm or less.

摘要： A filter set for recovering desired blood components from human blood and a method for recovering blood components using the filter set are provided. The filter set includes a bag body and an accommodation vessel for accommodating the bag body therein in a compressed condition. In the method the bag body is provided in the accommodation vessel and is compressed and blood is passed through the compressed bag body. Blood components are adhered to the compressed filter material in the bag body. Thereafter, the compression of the bag body is relieved and a washing solution is passed through the expanded bag body to remove the blood components contained therein.
