摘要: An oscillometric blood pressure measuring apparatus, including an inflatable cuff adapted to be wound around a body portion of a living subject, an oscillometric blood pressure measuring device which supplies a fluid pressure to the cuff to press the body portion of the subject, detects variation of a plurality of pulse amplitudes of a pulse wave which is produced in the cuff in synchronism with heartbeat of the subject while the fluid pressure of the cuff is changed, and determines a blood pressure of the subject based on the variation of the pulse amplitudes, a cuff pulse-wave detecting device which detects a pulse wave which is produced in the cuff when the fluid pressure of the cuff takes a reference pressure value not higher than a mean blood pressure of the subject, and produces a pulse wave signal representative of the detected pulse wave, and a waveform storing device including a waveform memory, for storing a waveform of a pulse wave of the subject by utilizing the pulse wave signal produced by the cuff pulse-wave detecting device.

摘要: A method and apparatus for winding a cuff having an inflatable chamber around a body portion of a living subject, in measuring a blood pressure of the subject, the method including the steps of positioning the cuff and the body portion of the subject relative to each other such that the cuff surrounds the body portion, supplying a predetermined amount of gas into the chamber of the cuff to hold the gas in the chamber, and fastening the cuff after increasing a tension of the cuff till a gas pressure in the chamber of the cuff surrounding the body portion reaches a reference value. A cuff winding apparatus includes a gas supplying device which supplies a predetermined amount of gas into the chamber of the cuff to hold the gas in the chamber, a pressure sensor which detects a gas pressure in the chamber of the cuff, a judging device for judging whether the pressure of the chamber detected by the pressure sensor has reached a reference value, and a driving device which increases a tension of the cuff to reduce a diameter of the cuff surrounding the body portion of the subject, the driving device holding the diameter of the cuff when the judging device makes a positive judgment.

摘要: A blood pressure measuring apparatus comprises an inflatable cuff which is adapted to be wound around a body portion of a living subject, an air pump which supplies a pressurized air to the cuff to inflate the cuff and thereby increase an air pressure in the cuff, to press a body portion of the subject, a pump-output-power control device which controls an output power of the air pump to increase an air pressure in the pump to a predetermined target pressure value, a pressure sensor that detects the pressure of the cuff, first-pump-output setting means for setting a predetermined first pump output power, a timer which measures a basic time period needed to increase the pressure in the cuff, second-pump-output power determining means for determining a second pump output power corresponding to a predetermined pressure-increase rate of the cuff, a cuff pressure decreasing device that decreases the pressure of the cuff, and a measuring device which measures at least one blood pressure value of the living subject while the pressure of the cuff is decreased from a target pressure value by the cuff pressure decreasing device.

This is done over an intake period defined as a period starting from a first time T1 after the time when the R wave of the induced electro-cardiac wave is detected to the time when a rising edge of the photoelectric pulse wave SM2 is detected. Then, the heartbeat synchronous information determining means 74 selects a rising edge of the partial impedance pulse wave SMIMP(P) that periodically appears as heartbeat synchronous information IH. Thus, it is possible to accurately determine the heartbeat synchronous information IH. Additionally, since the photoelectric pulse wave SM2 that is detected by the photoelectric pulse wave sensor 40 is largely free of noise it is possible to accurately determine the end of the period for reading the thorax impedance pulse wave SMIMP.

摘要: A blood pressure measuring apparatus including an inflatable cuff which is adapted to be wound around a body portion of a living subject, an air pump which supplies a pressurized air to the cuff to inflate the cuff and thereby increase an air pressure in the cuff, so that the cuff presses the body portion of the subject, an air tank which is connected to the air pump, an air restrictor which is provided between the air tank and the cuff, a deflation-control valve which is provided between the restrictor and the cuff to control an amount of discharging of the pressurized air from the cuff and thereby control deflation of the cuff, a control device which controls the air pump to supply the pressurized air to the cuff while controlling the deflation-control valve to discharge a controlled amount of the pressurized air therethrough from the cuff, so as to increase the pressure of the cuff linearly at a predetermined first rate, and a measuring device which measures at least one blood pressure value of the subject based on a pulse wave which is produced from an artery of the body portion of the subject in synchronism with a heartbeat of the subject while the pressure of the cuff is linearly increased at the first rate by the control device.
