摘要： A TFT display device realizing a high degree of fineness by integrally forming a TFT display panel and a drive circuit therefor by using a poly-Si film. The display device comprises TFT transistors of which the gates are connected to the scanning lines and of which the drains are connected to the signal lines that are so formed as to intersect one another substantially at right angles, a TFT display panel having pixel electrodes provided at sources of the TFT transistors, a signal line drive circuit which is formed on the display panel and permits pixel signals that are serially input to be output in parallel, and a scanning line drive circuit which is formed on the display panel and simultaneously selects the two neighboring scanning lines while changing the combination thereof for each of the fields, wherein for the pixels of two rows that are simultaneously selected by the scanning line drive circuit, the signal written into the pixels corresponding to one row has a polarity opposite to that of the signal written into the pixels corresponding to the other row. Therefore, despite the two rows are simultaneously selected, signals of opposite polarities are fed to these rows, whereby flickering decreases and noise transmitted to the signal lines and to a common plate electrode is canceled, making it possible to accomplish stable display operation.

摘要： The present invention provides a liquid crystal display device which can obviate cutting off of a peripheral region of the liquid crystal display device which is provided with an inspection circuit and can surely perform the inspection of an image display even when the peripheral region is narrowed. On a substrate of the liquid crystal display device, a pixel region which is comprised of a plurality of gate lines and a plurality of drain lines and a peripheral region which surrounds the pixel region are formed. A turn-on inspection terminal of the liquid crystal display device are formed on the peripheral region and a semiconductor chip for driving liquid crystal is formed on the inspection terminal. The semiconductor chip is electrically insulated from the inspection terminal.

摘要： Light leakage within pixel area is prevented. A liquid crystal display device includes a light reflection area forming pixel electrode and a reflection film in one portion of a pixel area on a liquid crystal side face of one substrate oppositely arranged through the liquid crystal. A light transmission area forms the pixel electrode in another portion. The pixel electrode as the reflection film is formed on the upper face except for an opening portion of an insulating film. The opening portion is formed in a light transmission area. The opening portion of the insulating film has a fan-shaped taper from the substrate side to the liquid crystal side on the side wall face of this opening portion. At least one portion of this taper is not covered with the pixel electrode used as the reflection film, but is exposed. The insulating film has a light absorption property in at least the taper portion.
