    摘要： A super-conductive wire includes a plurality of super-conductive filaments embedded within a metal matrix. A heat shield layer is circumferentially disposed about the matrix so as to prevent the ingress of diffusion of heat into the matrix from the exterior of the wire, and a plurality of longitudinally extending grooves are defined within the surface portion of the wire to such a radial depth as to penetrate the heat shield layer and therefore permit the matrix of the wire to be in direct thermal contact with a coolant disposed about the exterior of the wire so as to permit heat within the matrix to be discharged therefrom to the exteriorly disposed coolant.

    摘要： A method of manufacturing an Nb.sub.3 Al superconducting wire includes a step of forming a wire by a jelly-roll process, a first thermal step of heating the obtained wire at a temperature of 500.degree. to 700.degree. C. for at least 10 hours for diffusing Al in Nb while suppressing formation of Nb.sub.3 Al, and a second thermal step of heating the wire, after the first thermal step, at a temperature of 800.degree. to 1050.degree. C. for about 0.01 to 10 hours, thereby forming Nb.sub.3 Al. In the jelly-roll process, a sheet of Nb and a sheet of Al are lap-wound on a copper core. The material obtained by such lap winding is inserted in a copper pipe, and then subjected to drawing. The drawn wire is cut to obtain a plurality of segments. The plurality of segments are bundled and charged in a copper pipe, and then subjected to drawing. The resulting drawn wire is subjected to the first and second thermal steps. In this manner a superconducting material having a high critical current density under a high magnetic field is obtained.

    摘要： An artificial blood vessel includes one proximal-end and at least one distal-end communicating with the proximal-end, and an inserting port positioned between the proximal-end and the distal-end. The inserting port is provided with a check valve that permits an intravascular curing device to pass through up to the proximal-end and also prevents body fluid from flowing out from the artificial blood vessel. The proximal-end is connected to the ascending aorta and the at least one distal-end is connected to one of the right brachiocephalic arterial trunk, the left common carotid artery, and the left subclavian artery.
