    摘要: Method and apparatus for generating data for a skeleton pattern of a character and/or a painted character pattern are provided. A dot matrix pattern representative of a character pattern is stored in a memory and it is displayed on a display device, positions of a plurality of skeleton points for defining a skeleton line position of each of line segments on the displayed dot matrix pattern are specified on the display screen. Kinds of basic elements for the respective line segments are entered by an operator. Lines connecting the skeleton points of the respective line segments are superimposed on the dot matrix pattern as skeleton lines and they are displayed in a distinguishable form. A character outline pattern corresponding to the skeleton lines or a painted pattern thereof is generated based on the input skeleton point positions and the kinds of line segments. The character outline pattern or the painted pattern thereof is displayed on the display device in a distinguishable form as the superposition of the character dot matrix pattern and the character skeleton line pattern. The positions of the skeleton points to be corrected and positions of new skeleton points to be replaced therewith are indicated on the display screen and the character outline pattern or painted pattern thereof is repeatedly displayed based on the corrected skeleton point positions until a desired character outline pattern or painted pattern thereof is generated. The corrected skeleton point positions and the kinds of corresponding basic elements and/or painted character pattern data generated based upon the corrected skeleton point position are stored in the memory.

    摘要: An error recovery reduces the recovery time in finding out the JOB causing error in a computer system. An event generation unit is called at the beginning of the execution of a JOB, at the end of the execution of the JOB and at the close process of the file input-output process, by the JOB execution control unit. The JOB start event, end event, and close event are generated by the event generation unit. A file input/output count acquisition unit is called to generate a file input/output count for each JOB, by the JOB execution control unit. The monitoring process thereby generates the execution record comprising the end code, the start time, the end time, the execution time, the file input/output count, and the error flag for each JOB, based upon the above mentioned events. The monitoring process activates the error recovery support process when the error occurs. The error recovery support process compares the execution record with the standard record based upon the normal execution, checks for an abnormality of the input/output count, the execution time and the end code, stores the abnormal flag into the execution record, and sets the JOB generating the abnormality as the JOB causing error. The operator instructs to re-execute the JOB after the recovery and reallocation of the file.

The user management equipment sends the network address of that server and user authentication information registered for that server back to the client terminal. Using these pieces of information, the client terminal logs in that server. Each of the servers used by the user notifies the user management equipment of the actual accounts for the user at preferable times. Using the notified information, the user management equipment manages the actual accounts of each user. Each user can know the total of actual accounts for the servers used by accessing only the user management equipment.

    摘要: In an arrangement of a mail terminal 1, an electronic mail system 2, a job control terminal 4, and a computer system 3, a user makes a proposal of a file operation via a mail by way of the mail terminal 1. The electronic mail system 2 stores therein the proposal mail, exchanges this proposal mail with the job control terminal 4, and furthermore distributes a file operation result to the respective mail terminals. The job control terminal 4 receives a mail from the electronic mail system 2, and interprets the proposal mail, thereby executing a conversion from a mail ID into a host ID, a judgement of an access authorization with respect to the designated file, and a production of an instruction to the computer process system 3. Furthermore, an execution host computer is selected by monitoring operation conditions of the host computers. When the file operation result is sent from the computer process system 3, a mail containing this file operation result is produced, and the resultant mail is sent to the electronic mail system 2. The computer system 3 interprets a command issued from the job control terminal 4, thereby executing a reading operation from the designated file, a writing operation to the designated file, and a reading operation of a file name list.
