摘要： A camera capable of operating in a red-eye prevention mode. The camera has an electronic flash device which is activated by a drive circuit in synchronization with the exposure. The electronic flash device also serve as a pre-light-emission device capable of performing pre-light-emission for the purpose of preventing red-eye effect. When it is judged from the photographing condition that red-eye effect may occur, a controller activates the electronic flash device to effect a pre-light-emission for reducing the size of pupils of eyes of a person to be photographed, before the main flashing which is executed in synchronization with the exposure.

摘要： An automatic focus controlling apparatus for a camera can set a lens position in a focus detection impossible state on the basis of previously obtained information associated with a distance to an object. The apparatus comprises a memory means for storing a focus controlling signal, and lens drive controlling means for, when an inoperative signal is output, controlling to drive a photographing lens in accordance with lens position information, and for, when the focus controlling signal is output, controlling to drive the photographing lens to a focus controlling position in accordance with the focus controlling signal. When the focus controlling signal is detected, the photographing lens is driven to a focus controlling position in accordance with the detected information. When the inoperative signal is output, the photographing lens is driven in accordance with the focus controlling signal stored in the memory means.

摘要： An active distance measuring apparatus is equipped with a light projector for projecting modulated light to an object, a photoreceptor for receiving the modulated light reflected from the object and generating an alternating signal corresponding to the distance to the object, and a signal processing circuit for generating distance data from the alternating signal. The signal processing circuit is constituted by high level detecting means for detecting the high level value of the alternating signal, low level detecting means for detecting the low level value of the alternating signal, and an operation means for calculating distance data from the difference of both level values.

摘要： A camera having a shielding device to prevent leaked magnetic flux generated by a drive motor from affecting magnetic information recorded on film in a camera in which a drive motor is provided within a winding spool. The shielding device includes an inner shielding member and an outer shielding member which shield magnetic flux from the drive motor, even if the intensity of the magnetic flux leaked from the motor fluctuates. The outer shielding member is made of permalloy B with a high maximum relative permeability, and is provided outside of a motor housing case for the drive motor. The motor housing case forms the inner shielding member, and is made of pure iron having a high saturated magnetic flux density. The leaked magnetic fluxes generated by the drive motor having a strong magnetic field intensity are shielded by the motor housing case while other leaked magnetic flux having a weak magnetic field intensity is shielded by the outer shielding member.

The connecting member includes a component surface used to communicate electrical signals between the fist electronic component and the second electronic component. The flexible connecting member has a shape that permits it to extend and retract in directions substantially perpendicular to the component surface. The shape also permits the flexible connecting member to be maintained in a single plane when in a fully retracted state.

摘要： A camera magnetic reader including a magnetic head body for contacting a film, which is being fed in a camera, through a magnetic touch surface, and a shield member for covering the magnetic head body from the front side of the camera. The magnetic head body has protruding surfaces that are exposed through the shield member so as to face the front side of the camera. The head touch surface is formed by grinding with reference to the protruding surfaces. The magnetic body is mounted in the camera with the protruding surfaces serving as contact surfaces for positioning the magnetic head body. The camera magnetic reader allows accurate positioning of the magnetic head.

摘要： In a camera system including an electronic flash apparatus, a main capacitor of the flash apparatus is charged for a predetermined time interval, in response to a preparatory operation such as a first stroke of a release button. During this time interval, operation of an automatic distance measuring device, an automatic exposure controlling device and an object luminance discriminating circuit is prevented. A warning device warns a photographer that the main capacitor is insufficiently charged. Several voltage detectors detect different voltage levels of the main capacitor and produce detection signals for inhibiting the operation of the warning device and/or preventing further charging of the main capacitor.
