摘要： An electrochromic element including a pair of electrochromic bases is provided. Each electrochromic base is defined by a substrate, an electrode layer disposed on the substrate, and a color-forming layer disposed on the electrode layer. The electrochromic bases are superposed such that their respective color-forming layers face each other. A solid electrolyte of ultraviolet-setting type is disposed between the color-forming layers of the electrochromic bases. The method of manufacturing the electrochromic element and the method of driving the same are also disclosed.

摘要： There is disclosed an electrochromic element in which an oxidative color-forming layer is composed of an organic material and a reductive color-forming layer is composed of an inorganic material. The electrochromic element comprises a pair of electrodes, at least one of which is transparent, the oxidative color-forming layer composed of organic materials such as polyaniline, polypyrrole, polythiophene, etc. and the reductive color-forming layer composed of inorganic materials such as WO.sub.3, MoO.sub.3, TiO.sub.2, etc. formed between the pair of electrodes to face to each other, and an electrolytic solution or a solid or semi-solid electrolyte layer sealed between the both color-forming layers.

摘要： An electrochromic device is disclosed. The electrochromic device includes a pair of bases, and both a primary and a reference electrochromic element provided between the bases. The reference electrode is electrically connected to the primary electrochromic element so as to maintain the color-developing and fading potentials of the primary electrochromic element at predetermined voltages. 摘要： An electrochromic element including a color-forming film and an electrolyte sandwiched between a pair of substrates each having a electrode film. Each electrode film is divided into a plurality of electrode pieces with micro grooves. One of the electrode films has its electrode pieces intersected with the electrode pieces of the other film so as to define a plurality of pairs of facing surfaces at intersecting portions. Resistors are connected between each of the electrode pieces and a power source to equalize values of current flowing between each of the pairs of the facing surfaces. The resistor may be an ordinary one, or resistance film made of conductive material, or a projected portion projecting from a longitudinal end of the electrode piece. A predetermined shape of cut-out is formed on the projected portion.

摘要： A method for modifying the surface of a polyolefin resin molded article is disclosed, comprising contacting a polyolefin resin molded article with an ozone aqueous solution to oxidize the surface of said molded article. The surface of a polyolefin resin molded article can be modified easily and uniformly whatever shape the molded article may have. Previous cleaning of the molded article with an organic solvent is unnecessary. A coating layer can be formed on the thus modified surface with high adhesion.

The resist layer has a resistivity to a chemical plating solution for making the chemical plating layer. The process also includes the step of forming the chemical plating layer on the outer surface of the body except a part of the first boundary and the resist layer by chemical plating the body, and the step of selectively forming the electroplating layer on the chemical plating layer within the first area.
