摘要: A multi-wheel vehicle provided with at least six running wheels, that is, a pair of first running wheels serving as driving wheels, a pair of second running wheels such as castors disposed before or behind said pair of first running wheels so as to be laterally turned in the traveling direction of said vehicle, and a pair of third running wheels disposed before or behind said first running wheels. The vehicle comprises a prime mover, a speed change operation device, a steering operation device, a transmission drivingly connected with said prime mover, and a pair of running-driving axles onto which said respective first running wheels are attached. The transmission applies composite force of first equal rotational forces in the same directions and second equal rotational forces in opposite directions onto said pair of first running wheels. The speed change operation device is manipulated so as to regulate the direction and magnitude of said first rotational forces. The steering operation device is manipulated so as to regulate the direction and magnitude of said second rotational forces.

摘要: A vehicle including an integral transaxle apparatus with axles, a driving hydrostatic transmission (HST), a steering HST, and a differential unit. Driving operating means for slanting operation of a first movable swash plate of the variable displacement driving hydraulic pump for switching the travelling direction between forward and backward and for changing the travelling speed, and steering operating means for slanting operation of a second movable swash plate of the variable displacement steering hydraulic pump so as to determine the leftward and rightward cornering angle are provided. The steering hydraulic motor has a third movable swash plate interlocking with the driving operating means so that the slanting direction of the third movable swash plate is changed according to the operation of the driving operating means, whereby the vehicle turns laterally in the same direction in response to the steering operating means whether the vehicle travels forward or backward.

摘要: A vehicle is installed with an integral transaxle apparatus constructed so that a single housing contains left and right axles, a driving hydrostatic transmission (HST) having a variable displacement first hydraulic pump and a first hydraulic motor fluidly connected with each other, a steering HST having a variable displacement second hydraulic pump and a variable displacement second hydraulic motor fluidly connected with each other, and a differential unit differentially connecting the axles with each other so as to be driven regularly or reversely by the output of the driving HST and to differentially drive the axles while receiving the output of the steering HST, wherein the first hydraulic pump receives power of a prime mover and has a first movable swash plate, and the second hydraulic pump receives power of the prime mover independently of the first hydraulic pump and has a second movable swash plate. The vehicle is also provided with driving operating means for slanting operation of the first movable swash plate for switching the travelling direction between forward and backward and for changing the travelling speed, and steering operating means for slanting operation of the second movable swash plate so as to determine the leftward and rightward cornering angle. The second hydraulic motor has a third movable swash plate interlocking with the driving operating means so that the slanting direction of the third movable swash plate is changed oppositely with respect to its neutral position according to the travelling direction switching operation of the driving operating means, whereby the vehicle turns laterally in the same direction of leftward and rightward steering operation of the steering operating means whether the vehicle travels forward or backward.

摘要: A running vehicle comprises a steering operation tool, a pair of running-driving axles, a pair of running wheels drivingly connected with the pair of running-driving axles, a first differential unit interposed between the pair of running-driving axles, a first hydrostatic transmission for transmitting a driving force to the first differential unit, a pair of steering output shafts, a second differential unit interposed between the pair of steering output shafts, a second hydrostatic transmission for transmitting a driving force to the second differential unit. The second hydrostatic transmission drivingly interlocks with the steering operation tool so that the output speed and direction of the second hydraulic transmission is changed by manipulation of the steering operation tool. A first drive train is interposed between one of the steering output shafts and one of the running-driving axles, and a second drive train is interposed between the other steering output shaft and the other running-driving axle for transmitting the rotating effort to the other running-driving axle in the opposite direction to the first drive train. To improve the running efficiency on a rough road or soft ground, a pair of running-driven axles are disposed either in front of or in rear of the pair of running-driving axles, another pair of running wheels are drivingly connected with the pair of running-driven axles, and each of a pair of power transmission mechanisms is interposed between one of the running-driving axles and one of the running-driven axles arranged on each side of the vehicle, so as to rotate the pair of running-driven axles in the same rotational direction of the running driving axles. Otherwise, to reduce the turning radius, a pair of first steerable running wheels steered by manipulation of the steering operation tool are drivingly connected with the pair of running-driving axles. A pair of second steerable running wheels steered by manipulation of the steering operation tool, or castor wheels are disposed either in front of or in rear of the pair of first steerable running wheels.

摘要: A transaxle apparatus is constructed so that left and right axles, two hydrostatic transmissions (HSTs), one for driving a vehicle and the other for steering it, and a differential unit for differentially connecting said axles with each other are together contained in a housing. The driving HST is disposed so that its hydraulic pump and motor are aligned along either a left or right side of the housing. The steering HST is disposed so that its hydraulic pump and motor are aligned along either a front or rear side of the housing. The differential unit is laterally opposite to the driving HST. Either the left or right axle crosses the driving HST between its hydraulic pump and motor. The two HSTs are provided with one or two flat center sections disposed in the housing. The cylinder blocks of the hydraulic pumps and motors of the two HSTs are mounted on either a top or bottom surface of the center section or sections. Power transmission mechanisms for transmitting output power from the hydraulic motors of the two HSTs into the differential unit are disposed on an opposite side of the center section(s) as the cylinder blocks. A charge pump may be attached onto the center section, and a conduit for sending fluid discharged from the charged pump into one or both HSTs may be partly extended outside the housing so as to be cooled by the atmosphere.

摘要: A transmission assembly adapted to be mounted on a front of a vehicle axle casing as a substitute for a hydrostatic transmission comprises a transmission casing (1) and a drive shaft (2) at a high level, a speed-change shaft (4) at a low level, and an intermediate shaft (3) at a level intermediate between the drive and change shafts. These shafts extend within the transmission casing axially of this casing. The intermediate shaft is located aside in a direction across the casing. A clutch (5) is disposed on the drive shaft at an axial mid portion of this shaft, and a hollow shaft (6) which is driven to rotate by the drive shaft through the clutch is disposed on the drive shaft at one axial side of the clutch. A first mechanical speed-change mechanism (7) is disposed between the hollow shaft and intermediate shaft, whereas a second mechanical speed-change mechanism is disposed between the intermediate shaft and change shaft. Configuration of the transmission casing may be simplified, while the number of change ratios obtainable is greatly increased.

摘要: A carrier has a rear wheel driving transmission which comprises a drive shaft extending longitudinally of the body of the carrier, and an output shaft disposed approximately horizontally away from an intermediate shaft below the drive shaft. This arrangement renders the transmission flat, thereby making it possible to position a power take-off device in a clearance between the transmission and a body frame. Consequently, the rear wheels of the carrier can be arranged at a rearward portion of the body, with the engine and load carrying platform of the carrier positioned at a low level, to give improved running stability to the carrier.
