    摘要: A sheet stacking apparatus has a stack tray which can move so that a sheet stack surface keeps a constant position from a discharge outlet and which is a finisher capable of using the stack tray by switching it. When stacking the maximum number of sheets to be stacked on the stack tray and preventing stacking of sheets on the stack tray up to the maximum number of sheets to be stacked and the number of sheets stacked on the stack tray reaches a predetermined number of sheets to be stacked which does not prevent up to the maximum number of sheets from being stacked on the stack tray, stacking of sheets on the stack tray is temporarily prohibited to stack sheets by switching to the stack tray. Thereby, all sheet stack trays can stack up to the maximum number of sheets to be stacked, decrease of the number of stacked sheets is prevented in the whole sheet stacking apparatus and the number of temporal interruptions of a job is decreased.

    摘要: A sheet processing apparatus which can be reduced in size and suppress cost increase by preventing sheet buckling and jamming. Sheets stacked on an insert tray of a sheet processing apparatus are fed on a conveying path in a first sheet feed mode in which sheets are fed after being inverted by an inversion path or a second sheet feed mode in which sheets are fed without passing through the inversion path. A pair of conveying rollers conveys the fed sheets and the sheets with images formed thereon. The conveyed sheets are stacked on a processing tray, and a stapler performs predetermined processing on the stacked sheets. It is determined whether predetermined information is included in sheet information about the sheets stacked on the insert tray, and if the predetermined information is included in the set sheet information, a predetermined message is displayed on a display panel.

When a plurality of transmission channels are set by channel assignment, communication can be executed by giving a priority to each transmission destination. If transmission data are accumulated in an apparatus, and they include data for a transmission destination with a higher priority over the current data transmission destination, the number of transmission channels is increased, and the priority is raised.

    摘要: In an image forming apparatus which requires the user to manually input sheet medium information, (when a bundle of sheets which include a plurality of types of print media are to be printed, the user must manually input setups of the image forming apparatus for each individual print medium. In manual setups by the user, some setups require user's knowledge about print media. When the user has made wrong setups, a print result cannot be obtained under an appropriate control condition Furthermore, when information about a print medium is sensed by the sensor without manual setups, the information cannot be often precisely detect depending on the type and thickness of the print medium, an environment, and the like, and it is consequently difficult to attain optimal image formation. It is an object of this invention to attain optimal image formation, saving user labor and shortening the print time by using a radio tag attached to the sheet medium. An image forming apparatus which forms an image on a sheet medium, has means for reading information from a information holding means, such as a minuscule radio chip, attached to the sheet medium, and means for manually inputting information of the sheet medium, and controls an image forming condition using either information.

The first speed range includes an overlapping range where the first speed range and the second speed range overlap.
