摘要: An apparatus and method of making a parallax stereogram, i.e., free vision stereogram, and particularly for the accurate registration of a plurality of film images in order to ensure stereographic reproduction. Each film frame having the image thereon includes marks which are used in a projection printing apparatus to register the image in a desired position. The registration is accomplished by mechanical alignment according to the mark or by optically sensing the mark. A comparator-servo can adjust the film frame to the desired position. After registration each film frame is exposed onto a photosensitive material using a movable line grid. A lenticular screen is superimposed over the developed picture to form the stereoscopic photograph.

摘要: A computer-implemented method for gray balance calibration in an image printing system is provided. The method includes printing, using a print engine, a reference test pattern consisting essentially of black marking medium; sensing, using a sensor, the reference test pattern to obtain a reference image data, the reference image data being a function of the black marking medium; printing, using the print engine, a second test pattern comprising a combination of marking mediums of different colors, other than the color black, available on the image printing system to simulate the black marking medium; sensing, using the sensor, the second test pattern to obtain a second image data, the second image data being a function of the combination of marking mediums; and determining a difference between the reference image data and the second image data to obtain a correction offset for gray balance calibration in the image printing system.

摘要: Disclosed herein is a method and system for determining a billing structure for outputting documents using an image processing apparatus. If image data of the document includes color pixels, a billing structure is determined for each page based on an amount of color coverage. The marked color pixel locations of the image data to be output in the device dependent space are counted. Each color pixel location comprises at least one color plane. In some cases, a ratio of the count of the marked color pixel locations to a maximum number of pixel locations may be used to determine the amount on the page. Processing and determining a billing structure based on image data in the device dependent space, irrespective of the amount of ink/toner or color planes used, avoids charging a customer for color print job when only a small amount of color pixels are printed.

摘要: A maintenance system and method for maintaining an imaging member of an imaging device includes a pre-cleaning device to clean the imaging member; an applicator to apply release agent to the imaging member; a metering device to meter release agent on the imaging member; a reservoir to remotely store release agent; and a pump to supply the applicator with release agent from the reservoir. The saturation level of the applicator is monitored and maintained within a predetermined range. The applicator, pre-cleaning device and metering device may be independently actuated to engage the imaging member. Release agent collected by the pre-cleaning device and/or metering device may be recycled. Debris collected by the pre-cleaning device and/or metering device may be stored and/or removed.

摘要: A photographic camera for providing a plurality of film images in order to produce a stereogram. The camera has a plurality of objectives which are independently adjustable so that the optical axes of the lenses can be made substantially parallel in a first plane and substantially coplanar in a second plane orthogonal to the first plane. The objectives have substantially the same focal length and common shutter, aperture and focal control. The camera may include a film magazine having a film advance equal to the number of objectives.
