Abstract: A corporate information technology (IT) network can protect sensitive data sent to computers located outside of the IT network. For example, a customer of a company may control who can access his or her sensitive personal information by identifying his or her access preference included in an access control list, where the access preference describes a level of access that at least one remote employee or person may have to the customer's sensitive personal information. A data protection server may containerize the sensitive personal information and the access control list of the person in a data protection container. If a remote employee or a person requests access the customer's sensitive personal information, the data protection server may perform data protection related operations to provide the sensitive personal information to the remote employee or person.

Abstract: The disclosed wearable device systems include several features for alerting and guiding persons who are approaching or near to potentially hazardous or high-risk conditions in their nearby environment. Sensor data from wearable devices (also referred to herein as “wearables”) are used to determine the presence of various unsafe environmental conditions and phenomenon, including dangerous terrain or other unusual conditions. The wearable would be used to warn a person, for example via auditory or haptic-based feedback, if the person is about to encounter an unsafe condition. In particular, the proposed systems can be of great benefit to the visually impaired, those persons with physical disabilities, or persons otherwise vulnerable to particular environmental conditions.

Abstract: The disclosure describes techniques to protect personal information stored on an electronic card with which an owner of the electronic card may be authorized to perform a transaction. For example, a point-of-sale (POS) device may receive protected data generated by an electronic card where the protected data may be used by a personal information server to identify the owner of the electronic card. The POS devices sends the protected data and transaction information to an authorization server that sends the protected data to a personal information server. The owner's personal information can be obtained or derived from the protected data by the personal information server and the personal information is sent to the authorization server. The authorization server can determine whether a transaction is authorized or unauthorized based on the transaction information obtained from the POS device and the personal information obtained from the personal information server.

Abstract: A method and system of providing guidance and information to an end-user during an emergency situation. A network of one or more enrolled devices can obtain infrared data that will be used by the system to determine whether there is a high likelihood of a fire in a building. When an emergency situation such as a fire is detected, alerts can be generated at the enrolled devices that provide navigation cues based on user preferences and suggested evacuation routes to safely guide the end-user to the nearest designated exit.

Abstract: A method includes receiving, with one or more processors, biometric information of a first user. The method also includes determining, with the one or more processors, whether there is an indication that the first user is distracted based on the biometric information. The method further includes receiving, with the one or more processors, vehicle speed information. The method also includes determining, with the one or more processors, whether there is an indication that the first user is driving based on the vehicle speed information. The method further includes in response to determining that the first user is distracted and that the first user is driving, instructing, with the one or more processors, a mobile device associated with the first user to contact a second user or a call center.

Abstract: A method and system of protecting network activity of mobile devices is disclosed. Specifically, the methods and systems enable the detection of surveillance signals targeting or potentially targeting a user's personal device and automatically triggering a protective response to safeguard the user's information. The proposed systems can provide mobile device users with a powerful security capability by enabling their device to automatically disconnect from one or more networks and/or emitting a protective jamming signal in response to the detection of nearby potential surveillance activities.

Abstract: Corporate information technology (IT) networks can protect sensitive data sent to computers located outside of the corporate IT network. For example, a computer located outside of the corporate IT network may receive a message that instructs the computer to operate in a data protection mode in which the computer reduces a frame rate of a monitor of the computer from a first frame rate to a lower second frame rate. In this example, the computer receives sensitive information that includes sensitive visual content to be displayed on the monitor and displays the sensitive visual content on the monitor configured to operate at the second frame rate.

Abstract: An all-in-one multi-access device that provides access points for opening doors, using credit cards, obtaining and displaying tickets, storing information and other applications. The device may include one or more biometric sensors that ensure that it could only be used by an authorized person. In addition to providing keyless entry, the all-in-one multi-access device may also include a digital screen that can display information for credit cards, concert tickets, and airline tickets. In some embodiments, the device may include a magnetic strip and/or a chip to maintain backwards compatibility with older devices, such as magnetic strip readers and chip readers.
