摘要： Sequential delivery syringes including a valve mechanism are configured and configurable to enable one or more substances to be prefilled into the syringe. The valve mechanism may be an aspect of a distal seal assembly. Actuation of the valve mechanism permits opening of a fluid passage for the mixing of one or more substances, and the resulting mixed substance can be delivered by the syringe, for example, for administration of a pharmaceutical to a subject. The sequential delivery of substances contained in a distal and proximal chamber is also provided, where a second substance from the distal chamber is delivered followed by the delivery of a first substance from the distal chamber after the first substance from the proximal chamber is transferred into the distal chamber involving the actuation of the valve mechanism.

摘要： A dose control mechanism for a syringe includes a plunger having a coarse pitch screw on its exterior surface, a housing having a corresponding coarse pitch guide along the interior surface of the housing, a screw having a fine pitch screw which interfaces with a fine pitch nut of an adapter, wherein the plunger has an internal annular space within which screw at least partially resides. An accurate dose drug delivery syringe includes such a dose control mechanism, a barrel, a plunger seal, and a barrel adapter assembly having a barrel tip and a needle. The syringe may be a fill-at-time-of-use syringe, a pre-filled syringe, or a safety syringe having integrated needle retraction or needle sheathing safety features, or a combination thereof. Methods of assembly, manufacturing, and operation are similarly disclosed.

摘要： An implant delivery syringe includes a barrel, a plunger assembly, and a barrel adapter. A barrel adapter mountable to a syringe barrel includes a barrel tip, needle retraction mechanism, needle assembly and stylet slidably disposed within the needle lumen. The needle retraction mechanism includes a biasing member, actuable locking arrangement and locking mechanism. When the actuable locking arrangement is actuated, the biasing member causes the needle to axially translate over the stylet during retraction to cause delivery of an implant to a target location. The stylet may be retracted following delivery. Methods of assembling, manufacturing, and using are also provided.

The engaging screw thread arrangement includes at least one thread segment and a pitch guide including a variable pitch thread. At least a portion of the longitudinally extending channel of the housing including one of the pitch guide and the at least one thread segment, and the plunger includes the other of the pitch guide and the at least one thread segment. The plunger resides at least partially within the housing with the at least one thread segment engaged with the pitch guide. An accurate dose drug delivery syringe includes such a dose control mechanism, a barrel, a plunger seal, and a barrel adapter assembly having a barrel tip and a needle. The syringe may be a fill-at-time-of-use syringe, a pre-filled syringe, or a safety syringe having integrated needle retraction or needle sheathing safety features, or a combination thereof. Methods of assembly, manufacturing, and operation are similarly disclosed.
