    摘要: A method for enabling the cleaning of fibers in a fiber cleaning machine in which a cleaning stream moves tufts around a rotating cleaning cylinder, the tufts being cleaned and opened. The cleaning action can be adapted to fibers of varying origin and to an increasing degree of opening in the course of cleaning. The cleaning stream is, to a large extent, controlled and controllable by decoupling it from the dynamic behavior of the transport streams which transport material to and away from the cleaning process. Compensation for variations in the cleaning stream, and in the material supplied for cleaning, are achieved by control of the cleaning intensity, in order that the tufts emerging from the cleaning process are constant and optimally cleaned and opened. The invention concerns also suitable fiber cleaning apparatus for the realization of the described method. The apparatus includes a cleaning cylinder positioned in a casing and a plurality of cleaning elements extending from the cylinder. The length, shape and density of the elements can change along the length of the cleaning cylinder so that the cleaning intensity varies along the length of the cylinder. Adjustable grid bars can be positioned below the cleaning cylinder.

    摘要: A machine for cleaning textile fibres including a casing, a horizontal opening roller rotatably mounded in the casing, the roller body having a roller body and beater rods protruding from the peripheral area of the roller body and bar grates arranged below the underside of the opening roller. Textile fibres in the form of flocks are conveyed in a delivery air stream through an inlet which is arranged at a first end of the opening roller. An outlet for egress of the delivery air stream is arranged at the other end of the opening roller. In one arrangement, the radial length of the beater rods decreases from the inlet to the outlet and the diameter of the roller body increases from the inlet to the outlet. This arrangement allows the opening of the fibre flocks to be improved and permits a more complete separation of impurities through the bar grates.

Therewith, the machine can be optimally suited to the type of textile fibre material to be cleaned. The grate bars can also be further adjustable on a axis parallel to their own longitudinal axis, so that the setting angle of the grate bars, with reference to the current of delivery air, can also be adapted to the type of the textile fibre material.

    摘要: A coarse cleaning machine for textile fibres including a casing, a horizontal roller rotatably mounted in the casing, the roller being fitted with beater elements and bar grates are arranged on the underside of the roller. Located above and at one end of the roller is an inlet which carries delivery air for conveying the textile fibres in the form of flocks and an outlet is located above and at the other end for the roller. Deflectors which are inclined with respect to the roller axis are arranged above the upper side of the roller between the inlet and the outlet. The deflectors define transfer chambers which deflect the delivery air further in the direction of the axis of the roller. At least part of the transfer chambers are covered by a wall which is permeable to air and dust and a low pressure chamber connected to a suction pipe is located above the wall. The machine can not only separate the coarser impurities through the bar gates but can also suck out the fine dust-like impurities through the wall which is permeable to air and dust, the impurities being sucked into the low pressure chamber and then into the suction pipe.

Each calender roll is movably mounted at each of its opposite ends by means of a spring pair receiving the calender roll. Each spring pair is fixedly connected at one end to a bearing member of the related calender roll and at its other end by means of a carrier to side walls of the wind-up apparatus. A piston of a pneumatic cylinder moves the calender rolls from a rest position, in which there is a spacing D between the calender rolls and a spacing E between the last calender roll and the first winding roller, into a working position in which the calender rolls are pressed against one another in the absence of an intervening fiber layer. The position of the calender rolls in their rest position is maintained by the spring pairs.
