摘要: A sliver-delivering machine such as a card and a sliver coiler are each provided with an independent drive including a frequency-controlled free-phase motor. In addition, a frequency converter is connected in common to the motor of each drive for supplying power to each. The motors of the sliver-delivering machine and the coiler have a load-dependent speed characteristic, for example, each is an asynchronous motor with a maximum slip of 3% over a delivery speed range of up to 300 m/min.

摘要: A carding machine casing (1) is connected with a suction device (15) for preventing uncontrolled release of fibers and dust into the environment adjacent the machine, and the casing is provided with large suction openings (9, 10) having a combined area of not less than 0.5 m.sup.2 for admitting conveying air to the interior of the casing. The air is sucked in through the large openings at a substantially lower flow speed so that a considerably lower proportion of the airborne particles and fibrous particles occurring in a spinning mill are sucked into the suction device (15). In many cases it is no longer necessary to provide for precise sealing of the casing (1), and it is sometimes feasible to omit the use of a filter cloth over the suction openings (9, 10) or to simplify the maintenance (e.g., cleaning) of the filter.

摘要: The method for mixing textile fibers utilizes a computer which is inputted with data concerning the characteristics of the fibers of the individual fiber bales to be processed as well as the data indicative of the desired characteristics of the board sliver or yarn which is to be manufactured from the fiber mixture obtained from the fibers of the individual bales. From the inputted data, the computer, in accordance with a predetermined computing algorithm, calculates a component distribution which comes close to the estimated component distribution and which satisfies the desired characteristics of the car sliver or yarn characteristics. The computer may also effect a correction of the computed component distribution taking into account boundary conditions with additional inputted information. The component distribution found by the computer is used for the adjustment or regulation of the supply of individual fiber components to a mixer in order to obtain the calculated component distribution in the fiber mixture which si delivered by the mixer.

摘要: The cleaning or blow room line comprises at least one bale opening machine connected by ducts and at least one cleaning machine and a blender with a plurality of cards. The transport of the fiber flocks extracted by the at least one bale opening machine through the cleaning line is achieved by suction ventilators provided for such cleaning line. After at least one cleaning location a pressure sensor is arranged in an associated duct and delivers a signal to a control or regulator which controls or regulates, as the case may be, the size of a false air opening which co-dictates the air flow through the ducts. The false air opening can be constructed as an adjustable element in the form of a hinged flap or a slide element positioned relative to an opening in a duct, whereby the regulator controls the extent to which the flap or slide member is pivoted or slid, thereby adjusting the amount of air that is drawn into the duct.

摘要: A method and an apparatus for establishing whether fiber material is contaminated with foreign objects is characterized in that for the finding of foreign objects in the form of foreign fibers and pieces of foil, for example packaging remnants such as jute sack remnants, plastic foil remnants, cords or bands, rags or cleaning scrim, the fiber material delivered in bales is investigated during bale opening. The investigation takes place by scanning the surface of at least some of the layers of fiber material exposed during the bale opening, and the degree of the contamination with the scanned foreign objects is retained and is stored in association with the particular bale which has been scanned.

摘要: Individual fiber components are blended in accordance with the properties of a required intermediate product such as a card sliver or an end product such as a yarn. The fiber bales are combined into component groups and the fiber components in the groups are accurately supplied by metering devices to a blender in which the components are uniformly mixed. The product from the blender may be cleaned and thereafter carded into a sliver. The characteristics of the sliver, such as the color, fiber, fineness and quantity, are tested and adjustments made in the blending in dependence upon any deviation from preset values for the characteristics.

摘要: The separation of impurities through an opening in the casing of a rotating roller or drum is increased by guide grooves or guide gaps in the casing. The guide grooves or guide gaps extend in the direction of movement of the conveyed fibers and open out into the separating opening. The guide grooves may be formed directly in the casing in the surface facing the rotating roller or drum or may be formed by separate elements which are mounted on the casing and extend into the separating opening.

摘要: To ensure that on-line measurements performed at a moving or stationary fiber structure, such as a fiber composite or a sliver, deliver useful and reproducible measuring values, the fiber structure, whether such be fiber composites or fiber slivers, must be compressed at the location where they pass a measuring location or site where there is accomplished the measurement with a commercially available measuring instrument or apparatus. According to the invention, there is selected as the measuring location or site a location of the fiber processing process where the fiber structure is compressed any way by virtue of the undergoing fiber processing process.

摘要: A bale opening machine is provided with a safety apparatus, by means of which there are produced safety barriers or fences parallel to lengthwise sides of a row of bales to be opened and/or substantially perpendicular to the direction of movement of the bale opening machine. The safety apparatus moves in conjunction with the bale opening machine. The safety apparatus can comprise mechanical and/or sensory protective structure. The sensory protective structure comprises one or more electro-acoustical transducers arranged in a sonic chute together with one or more reference reflectors such that transmitted acoustical signals are split into a measuring signal and a reference signal. The reference signal is reflected at one of the reference reflectors, whereas the measuring signal is reflected at a deflection reflector into the monitored area and back again by an object located in the monitored area.
