Abstract:
In a cooktop with a cooktop panel, beneath which at least one heating element is disposed for heating up a cooking vessel to be placed on the cooktop panel, and with a temperature sensor for sensing the temperature of the cooktop panel, which temperature sensor is in heat-conducting contact with the underside of the cooktop panel within the heating element and is connected to a control unit for controlling the heating power of the heating element, to simplify assembly/fitting, the invention provides a heat-conducting element within the heating element in heat-conducting contact with the underside of the cooktop panel, and fastens the temperature sensor in this region to the heat-conducting element.
Abstract:
A procedure to the control of a device with an electric heating, especially a cooking device with a cooking chamber and or a cook area, that shows at least two switch apparatus to the divided on and switching off of an electric voltage supply of the heating and cyclically actuated temperature control of the heating. At the same time both switch apparatus are used alternating and or in periodic time intervals.

A hob device is provided that has a monitoring unit to monitor a cooking area of a hob. The monitoring unit includes a sensor array of multiple infrared sensors to record infrared light.
Abstract:
In an electrical device for controlling functional units and processing data, for connection to an external data network communicating signals, and for switching between quiescent and active states, the improvement includes a control unit for controlling the functional units and having lines connected to the network for receiving signals starting data processing at the device, a power supply unit for supplying the units with energy, the supply unit primary side to be connected to a voltage supply and connected to the control unit, an electrical switch, connected to and switching the supply unit, entering into an open position and disconnecting the primary side from the voltage supply network in the quiescent state, and entering into a closed position dependent upon the power received from the ringing signal in the active state, and the switch remaining in one of the positions based upon the energy from the supply unit.
Abstract:
A household appliance, in particular an electrically operated household appliance, can be controlled using voice signals. In order to avoid malfunction, e.g. as a result of voice signals coming from a radio set and not from a user, a control program is configured in such a way that successive voice signals can only form a control command when the successive voice signals are input within a given time period.
Abstract:
A stove with pyrolytic self-cleaning includes an oven having at least one wall region and an outgoing air path. A heating element is disposed in the at least one wall region for operating the oven. A forced-air and/or convection blower vents the oven. A forced-air and/or convection heater is optionally provided for the oven. A device is provided for pyrolytically self-cleaning the oven. A gas sensor is disposed in the outgoing air path for issuing sensor signals. An evaluation unit for pyrolytic self-cleaning is connected to the gas sensor. The evaluation unit has a logic system adapted to a pyrolysis operation for analyzing the sensor signals. The evaluation unit uses the sensor signals after a typical pyrolysis operating time to determine a minimum pyrolysis temperature and an optimized total pyrolysis time being dictated by a type of soiling.

A hob device is provided that has a monitoring unit to monitor a cooking area of a hob. The monitoring unit includes a sensor array of multiple infrared sensors to record infrared light.
Abstract:
A ceramic hob for a cooking appliance provided with a control device for controlling and/or adjusting a real temperature value on at least one part of a cooking plate arranged in a container for cooking by means of an associated heating device. The inventive ceramic hob comprises at least one temperature sensor for determining the real temperature value of a heatable part and at least one control element used for setting said temperature to a desired value, wherein a desired temperature value of the heatable part is assigned thereto. According to said invention several desired values can be assigned to one control element.
Abstract:
A temperature sensor on a cooking device, for non-contact recording of a temperature of a cooking utensil includes at least one infra red-sensor, with at least two differing sensitivity ranges for recording at least two different wavelengths emitted by the cooking utensil. The infra-red sensor can be a multi-channel pyrometer. In accordance with a method for non-contact recording of a temperature of a cooking utensil, at least two different wavelength ranges emitted by the cooking utensil are recorded by an infra-red sensor comprising a multi-channel pyrometer.
Abstract:
In order to extend the functionalities of a range hood, the range hood is provided with an oxygen sensor measuring the oxygen content in the ambient air. Alternatively or additionally, the range hood can be provided with a climate control device that regulates the air climate and/or room climate around the range hood and by which information about the climate below as well as around the range hood can be obtained and used or supplied for further processing.
