摘要: An ortho-mode transducer (100) comprising a first part (102) with a first port (106) for connecting a first rectangular waveguide (112) and a second port (108) for connecting a second rectangular waveguide (114). The signals in the two waveguides have orthogonal polarizations. The transducer also comprises a second part (104) with a third port (110)for connecting a common circular waveguide (116) in which the two orthogonal signals can be propagated. Symmetry axes of cross sections of the first and the second waveguides have orthogonal orientation. The first rectangular port (106) has its broad walls perpendicular to the circumference of the common circular waveguide (116) and the second rectangular port (108) has its broad walls alongside the circumference of the common circular waveguide. The first and second ports are connected to the third port in opposite positions via 90-degree bends (118, 120). In a coupling region a separating plate extends from a wall closing the common circular waveguide, wherein the separating plate is oriented perpendicular to the longitudinal axes of parts of the rectangular ports coupled to the common circular waveguide.

摘要: A circulator comprises a housing in two halves with a ferrite and associated magnet in a central portion of a first one of the halves, the second housing-half above the ferrite having a membrane which is deformable by operation of an adjuster upon the membrane, so as to adjust the size of an airgap between the membrane and the ferrite. The membrane is preferably the residual portion of the second housing-half following a milling operation to provide a recess, the recess accommodating the adjuster in the form of, e.g., a screw. To further enhance predictability of the performance characteristics of the circulator, the ferrite is seated in a hollow formed in the first housing-half and the securing of the ferrite to the first housing-half is by way of an adhesive applied between a lateral face of the ferrite and a corresponding lateral face of the hollow.

摘要: The invention relates to novel essentially anhydrous oily bath and shower compositions containing a combination of fatty oil and/or fatty or waxy apolar substance, oil-soluble surfactant, and vesicle-forming lipid and, if desired, a cosmetically- or balneologically-active ingredient. When poured into or simply admixed with water, these formulations immediately and automatically, generate dispersed vesicles or liposomes. They exhibit an immediate as well as a prolonged or depot effect, can be used alone or added to or together with existing bath or shower formulations, and are especially suited for use in connection with or as additives to full, partial, or shower baths.

摘要: The invention concerns a collagen sponge which has a denaturation temperature of at least 37.degree. C., is not cross-linked and in one of its two embodiments forms an optically clear solution in aqueous medium. As compared with the collagen sponges previously known, it is particularly suitable as support material for pharmaceutical and cosmetic active substances since it has a higher denaturation temperature than the latter and dissolves again in contact with body fluid. The collagen sponge of the invention is prepared from an optically clear collagen solution by precipitation with neutral salts, dissolving and reprecipitation and then subjecting the collagen to freeze-drying without removal of the precipitation salt. Acid-swollen collagens and/or cellulose or cellulose derivatives can also be added to the solution, whereby the physical properties of the collagen sponge can be affected.
