Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods of producing a scaffold by producing a biopolymer scaffold composition by pneumatospinning a polymer solution comprising polymer fibers onto a collector; feeding the polymer fiber solution comprising the polymer fiber into an air brush; applying a gas pressure around the polymer fiber solution comprising the polymer fiber in the airbrush; ejecting the polymer fiber from the air brush onto the collector; crosslinking the polymer fibers; and seeding a plurality of cells to the polymer scaffold composition.

Abstract: A cell tissue gel, comprising one or more matrix molecules cross-linked with a cross-linking agent, and a quenching agent bound to a reactive group of the cross-linking agent, wherein the quenching agent contains a moiety that is capable of reacting with the reactive group of the cross-linking agent and the one or more matrix molecules contain one or more functional groups that are capable of cross-linking with the reactive group, the amount of the reactive group of the cross-linking agent being equal to or less than a total amount including the amount of the one or more functional groups and the amount of the moiety.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method of bonding together surfaces of two or more elements, whereby at least one of the two or more elements is a mineral wool element, said mineral wool element(s) being bound by a mineral wool binder, the method comprising the steps of providing two or more elements; applying an adhesive to one or more of the surfaces to be bonded together before, during or after contacting the surfaces to be bonded together with each other; curing the adhesive, wherein the adhesive comprises at least one protein; at least one phenol and/or quinone containing compound, and/or at least one enzyme.

In one example embodiment, non-biohazardous ingredients such as one or more hydrogels, other thickening agents, coloring agents, and water are combined to form the thrombus simulant. A radiolucent agent may be provided to permit visualization of the thrombus simulant under certain imaging techniques, such as x-rays.
