Abstract: A method for organizing the communication between mobile radio network subscriber stations in a mobile radio cell, wherein a mobile radio network management unit, especially the scheduler of a base station, in the mobile radio cell performs the allocation of the radio resources. The mobile radio network management unit defines for the mobile radio cell a number of subradio areas in which a number of mobile radio subscriber stations are allowed to use the same radio resources for direct communication with one another in parallel operation.

Abstract: A method for adjusting the interference level for a wireless communication from a first mobile station to a second mobile station including detecting an interference level at a transmitting station and providing for elevation of the direction of beam for the signal transmissions from the first mobile station to the second mobile station relative to an angle between the ground plane and the current direction of beam for the transmissions from the first mobile station to the second mobile station. Such lifting up of the beam avoids interference at the place of a third mobile station located at the direction of signal transmission but with further distance, since the signal strength then vanishes relatively quickly if the beam is lifted up.

Abstract: The method simplifies the formation of groups of devices in secure spaces. Such spaces may be passenger compartments of vehicles, and the passenger compartments can additionally be partitioned into zones. Each zone can be allocated a group. For instance, driver and front-seat passenger can be allocated to one group. The travelers in the rear seat-rows can be allocated to another group. This allows data exchange with driver and front-seat passenger that relates to the vehicle route or even relates to vehicle assistance systems. The other group, for instance, children travelling in the vehicle, can share other data, for instance, for entertainment purposes. The acceptance of systems offered in the vehicle can be increased by simple group formation.

Abstract: An apparatus, a method and a computer program for characterizing antenna units in a predefined space. The antenna units provide coverage with radio services for a mobile transceiver in the space. An antenna unit is operated in two modes of operation, sending and receiving. At least one first antenna unit has multiple radiation characteristics. The method includes operating the first antenna unit in a first mode of operation and operating a second antenna unit in the second mode of operation and varying the radiation characteristics of the first antenna unit and capturing information about transmission properties between the first antenna unit and the second antenna unit for the radiation characteristics. The method also includes characterizing the antenna units based on the information about the transmission properties.

Abstract: A method for assisting a transportation vehicle occupant located in a transportation vehicle wherein user information regarding the behavior and/or the state of a transportation vehicle occupant and transportation vehicle parameters of the transportation vehicle are gathered. The gathered user information and transportation vehicle parameters are combined and jointly analyzed and at least one behavior pattern of the transportation vehicle occupant is determined from the jointly analyzed user information and transportation vehicle parameters. The behavior pattern is stored together with the user information. In a subsequent gathering of user information, this user information is compared with the user information behavior pattern previously stored. When there is conformance with the behavior pattern, a transportation vehicle function is automatically carried out.
