Abstract:
A device may receive small cell data associated with a small cell, wherein the small cell data includes small cell location data and a small cell barometric pressure reading. The device may identify a calibration user device connected to the small cell and may receive, from the calibration user device, a user device barometric pressure reading. The device may calibrate, based on the user device barometric pressure reading, the small cell barometric pressure reading to obtain a calibrated small cell barometric pressure reading. The device may identify a reference weather station and may receive, from the reference weather station, weather station data, wherein the weather station data includes a weather station barometric pressure reading, and a weather station altitude that indicates an altitude of the reference weather station. The device may determine a small cell altitude based on the calibrated small cell barometric pressure reading and the weather station data.
Abstract:
A device is configured to detect that a user device has failed to receive a call attempt for a call intended for the user device and from a calling party, and determine, based on the detection, that the calling party has not left a voicemail message associated with the call. The device is configured to store missed call information, associated with the call, and send a first missed call notification to the user device, where the first missed call notification includes the missed call information. The device is configured to detect that the user device has not received the first missed call notification, and send a second missed call notification to the user device, where the second missed call notification includes the missed call information.
Abstract:
A network device is configured to receive, from a user device that is not subscribed to a network associated with the network device, a connection request identifying a particular service, of one or more services, to provide to the user device. The system may further identify a packet data network (PDN) to establish based on the particular service; identify one or more parameters, associated with the PDN and identifying a data flow, associated with the particular service, that can be provided to the user device; and establish the PDN based on the one or more PDN parameters. The PDN may permit only the data flow, associated with the particular service, to be transmitted to the user device. The system may further provide the data flow, associated with the particular service, to the user device via the PDN.
Abstract:
A device is configured to obtain base station information for base stations indicating whether data communicated via a respective base station should receive optimization processing. The device may obtain a base station identifier from a base station. The device may determine whether the data communicated via the base station should receive the optimization processing based on the base station information and the base station identifier. The device may receive non-optimized data to be sent to a client device via the base station. The device may selectively cause the optimization processing to be performed on the non-optimized data based on whether the data communicated via the base station should receive the optimization processing. The device may provide optimized data generated by the optimization processing or the non-optimized data to the client device via the base station based on selectively causing the optimization processing to be performed.
Abstract:
A system may receive a registration request that identifies a first user device identifier. The system may determine that the first user device identifier is not registered. The system may transmit an authentication challenge. The authentication challenge may request one or more credentials associated with a subscriber profile. The first user device identifier may be associated with the subscriber profile. The system may cause the first user device identifier to be registered based on a challenge response. The first user device identifier may be registered based on a result of authenticating the registration request. The system may receive subscriber information that is associated with the first user device identifier, based on causing the first user device identifier to be registered. The system may determine that the subscriber information identifies a second user device that may be associated with the subscriber profile. The system may provide a notification.
Abstract:
A network socket application programming interface (API) running on a communication device is operative to provide, to applications running on the device, information about the performance of communication links used by sockets for communicating across a network. The socket API receives packets associated with sockets, and retrieves from the packets performance information for corresponding communication links. In response to receiving a request from an application for performance information associated with a particular socket, the API identifies performance information for the particular socket and returns the retrieved information to the application. A performance monitoring network device provides the performance information. The performance monitoring device stores information about the performance of a plurality of communication links used by sockets of communications devices in the network, and inserts the performance information for particular sockets into associated packets before transmitting the packets to corresponding communication devices.
Abstract:
A device may determine a first baseline measurement. The device may determine a first location associated with the device. The device may store information identifying the first baseline measurement and the first location associated with the device. The device may determine a second baseline measurement. The device may determine that the second baseline measurement differs from the first baseline measurement by a threshold quantity. The device may determine a second location associated with the device based on determining that the second baseline measurement differs from the first baseline measurement by the threshold quantity. The second location may be different from the first location. The device may provide information associated with the second baseline measurement and/or the second location.
Abstract:
One or more devices may receive information that identifies a format of an identifier of a network device. The format of the identifier may indicate a portion of the identifier that identifies a type of the network device. The one or more devices may receive the identifier of the network device based on a user device connecting with the network device to communicate via the network device; determine the type of the network device connected to the user device based on the portion of the identifier and a format of the identifier that identifies the type of network device; and execute a processing instruction based on the type of network device connected to the user device.
Abstract:
In some implementations, an internet protocol multimedia subsystem (IMS) may receive a device identity of the user device as part of an emergency call. The IMS may transmit the device identity to an emergency call server (ECS). The IMS may receive, from the ECS, a subscriber identity of the user device. The IMS may transmit the subscriber identity to a public safety answering point (PSAP) through a next generation core services (NGCS) network that uses a Stir and Shaken protocol. The emergency call is then established with a true subscriber identity of the user device.
Abstract:
A device may receive information associated with establishing a gateway connection. The gateway connection may be an ad hoc connection to a user device that permits the user device to transfer network traffic to/from a base station via another user device and without the user device directly connecting to the base station via a radio access network. The information being associated with determining that a gateway establishment condition is satisfied. The device may cause the gateway connection to be established based on the information associated with establishing the gateway connection. The device may cause the user device to utilize the gateway connection to transfer network traffic to/from the base station.
