摘要: An automated system is disclosed for managing accounts receivable for outstanding healthcare accounts. In particular, the system in accordance with the present invention is an automated system which preemptively assesses the risk of denials of outstanding healthcare accounts by way of a self-learning engine driven by current data and prioritizes those accounts for follow up according to the risk profile of the account. As such, the system is able to minimize denials by the respective payers thereby improving optimizing the efforts of healthcare accounts receivable personnel while improving the revenue yield and minimizing the revenue cycle.

摘要: One or more set point values are generated by a dynamic fermentation controller for one or more of temperature, pH, and enzyme dosage for a fermentation system. The one or more set point values are output to one or more controllers of the fermentation system. The generation of the one or more set point values and the outputting of the one or more set point values is repeated until a change in conditions in the fermentation system is detected.

摘要: A method and apparatus is provided for non-invasively mixing ingredients in closed containers. Mixing is performed by inducing waves in the liquid to be mixed. This is achieved by rocking the container in precise phase so as to produce resonance. With the waves moving back and forth in resonance, it is possible to mix with very low energy requirements compared to prior art. Mixing ingredients with resonant waves in a closed container eliminates the need for an invasive mixer and has obvious advantages in minimizing contamination. This makes the device ideal for biological processing that typically require sterile operation.

摘要: A process for recovering corn germ and corn coarse fiber from corn in a dry grind process, involving soaking corn kernels in water to produce soaked corn kernels, grinding the soaked corn kernels to produce a ground corn slurry, and incubating the ground corn slurry with at least one enzyme(amylase(s), protease(s), cell wall degrading enzyme(s), or mixtures thereof, and optionally other enzyme(s)) to increase the specific gravity of the slurry to about 10-about 16 Baume so that the corn germ and corn coarse fiber floats to the top of the slurry, recovering the corn germ and the corn coarse fiber, and optionally producing ethanol from the slurry no longer containing the corn germ and corn coarse fiber. The process does not involve the addition of starch, a salt, a sugar syrup, or mixtures thereof to the slurry.

摘要: A method of recovering corn coarse fiber by flotation, which features the use of a hydrocyclone, or other separating machinery, in which the specific gravity of the slurry contained therein has been increased to approximately 12-14 Baumé so that the corn coarse fiber is of a lighter density than the remainder of the slurry. Therefore, the corn coarse fiber can be separated from the remainder of the slurry because it floats to the top of the slurry. If the present pericarp recovery process is added to a modified dry-grind ethanol production line, a high value co-product (the pericarp) is added to the other co-products and the end-product of ethanol, which can all be sold, and the economic efficiency of the plant is increased. More specifically, the present invention provides a process for recovering corn coarse fiber including the steps of: soaking corn in water to loosen the attachments of various grain components therein to each other, degerminating the soaked corn to strip the corn coarse fiber and the germ away from the endosperm, recovering the germ, and recovering the corn coarse fiber by flotation.

摘要: A low cost valve and system for automated ebb and flow irrigation utilizes a collapsible sleeve to control fluid flow direction. No external power, moving parts, or floats are needed to operate the valve, resulting in improved reliability, low operating cost, and minimal need for maintenance. The valve operates using feed pressure to close the drain when hydroponic nutrient solution is pumped into the cultivation chamber. The valve drains automatically once the pump is stopped, usually by means of a timer, and the spent hydroponic solution is recovered. The fill/drain cycle is repeated as needed to keep the plants moist, yet not waterlogged.

摘要: This invention provides a system and apparatus that is able to authenticate and prevent illegal manufacturing and unauthorized operation of disposable bioprocess components. This invention utilizes a ferro-electric random access memory (FRAM) chip to store error-correctable information on a RFID tag attached to the disposable bioprocess components, where the error-correctable information is written into the memory chip, so that the information can remain in the chip when the RFID tag and disposable bioprocess component is gamma-sterilized. Also, this invention includes a method for authenticating the disposable bioprocess component that reduces liability in that a counterfeit poor quality disposable component is not used on the hardware so the user will not file an unjustified complaint.
