摘要： A rotor for a sorting apparatus for cleaning fibrous suspensions such as produced from the making of paper is described. The rotor is equipped with sorter blades which extend substantially parallel to the axis of rotation and are set at a desired angle relative to the direction of rotation of the rotor so as to create a hydrofoil effect. The sorter blades are mounted to one or more supporting walls shaped in a spiral form to provide spiral surfaces which are coaxial with the axis of rotation of the rotor and impart a conveying motion to the fibrous suspension. Upon rotation of the rotor in a fibrous suspension entanglements by impurities are avoided and the danger of the occurrence of a blockage of the strainer used in the sorter apparatus is reduced.

摘要： A sorting apparatus has a first casing section (1) with a larger diameter and a second casing section (2) with a relatively smaller diameter, which casing sections are generally aligned in series. A rotor (6) has rotor parts which are coordinated with each casing section and appropriately adapted. An impeller rotates in a churning space (5) of the first casing section (1) and a drum type rotor section (9) in the second casing section (2) supports sorting elements (16), which rotate in a strainer space (12) formed by a cylindrical strainer basket (11). This provides both despeckling and sorting in the machine, and separates the rejects with a high solid content.

摘要： In a pulping apparatus including a pulper with a rotor near the bottom therein, the pulper has a sluice outlet at the bottom for acceptable pulp suspension. Above the rotor at a corner of the pulper is a second outlet for suspension and dirt. A conduit leads from the second outlet to a horizontally oriented withdrawal apparatus chamber having a suspension agitating rotor at the end of the chamber opposite the entrance for pulp thereinto. A tangential outlet from the withdrawal apparatus chamber lead to a rotary, perforated sorting drum which permits exit of acceptable suspension and which has a rejected suspension and dirt outlet. A valve in the inlet to the withdrawal apparatus chamber is periodically and cyclically opened to permit periodic replacement of the suspension in the withdrawal apparatus chamber, and the suspension which has been agitated in the withdrawal apparatus chamber then moves to the sorting drum.

摘要： A rotating sorter is provided for the removal of minuscule pollutants from fiber material suspensions by means of a symmetrical fixed filter basket disposed in a fixed spiral-shaped housing and in whose interior a generally vertical axle rotates sorter vanes in close proximity to the filter basket. Fiber material suspension to be sorted is delivered to a generally ring-shaped sorting space formed between the filter basket and housing. The direction of flow of fiber material suspension delivered to the filter basket occurs substantially tangentially thereto and generally perpendicular to the rotating axle, and quality material is sorted into the interior of the filter basket. The apparatus of the present invention is distinguished by an inlet nozzle which communicates with the sorting space through a generally vertically disposed slit, and by the sorting space steadily narrowing or tapering from a width equal to the width of the slit and along the axial length of the filter basket beginning at least at a point level with the slit, whereby the tapering of the sorting space occurs in a spiral fashion in the direction of flow of the fiber material suspension along the filter basket. This results in a higher degree of sorting effectiveness, especially in preventing the removal of long fibers with ejected material.

摘要： A process and plant for treating waste paper in which a beater is employed for rough-pulping the waste paper followed by a first sorting stage from which the separated-out foreign matter is processed further in a subsidiary circuit which includes a vibratory sorter for lightweight foreign matter and a hydrocyclone for heavy foreign matter, the fibers separated out during this further processing being returned again to the treatment process. In the first sorting stage, a sufficiently rigorous separation process is carried out to remove the greater part of the foreign matter, together with unpulped lumps of fibers, which is then passed to the subsidiary circuit in which it and half-stuffs still containing foreign matter, which have been sorted in the hydro-cyclone and in the vibratory sorter, are subjected together to a multi-stage further sorting and speck-removing process. The plant is characterized in that the strainer has such small holes that, in general, only pulped fibers can pass through it, and in that in the subsidiary circuit behind the vibratory sorter and the hydro-cyclone a second sorter is arranged, the half-stuff outlet duct from which opens out again in the treatment process.

摘要： A process and a secondary pulper used in a system for waste paper conditioning wherein the secondary pulper has a tumbling space separated from an accepted stock space by a screen. The secondary pulper includes a central drain line through which a fraction of fiber suspension enriched with light dirt is removed at one end of the secondary pulper, and a circumferential line through which a fraction of the fiber suspension enriched with heavy dirt is removed from the secondary pulper. A pulp inlet sleeve surrounds the central drain line and receives fiber suspension enriched with heavy dirt from the circumferential drain line through a conduit from the circumferential drain line to the pulp inlet sleeve so that the fiber suspension enriched with heavy dirt enters the tumbling space adjacent the entrance to the central drain line.

The entry chamber is of a substantially smaller diameter than the rotation chamber and includes a washing water connection. A waste matter extraction line leads off from the rotation chamber.

摘要： A system for wastepaper processing which uses a newly developed wash filter of a simple design. The wash filter includes a generally round agitating space and an accepted stock space. The accepted stock space is separated from the agitating space by an essentially flat screen. An agitating wheel is positioned within the agitating space and in front of the flat screen. An entrance space for receipt of fibrous suspension and wash water is also included in the wash filter. The entrance space has a smaller diameter than the diameter of the agitating space. Flow of the suspension from either a primary pulper or a secondary pulper is received in the entrance space of the wash filter. A tailing removal line is in communication with and extends from the agitating space of the wash filter.
