Abstract: A battery housing for accommodating one or more battery modules in its housing interior to form a traction battery for a motor vehicle, includes a housing section for partially delimiting the housing interior, the housing section having an exhaust duct integrated therein for discharging media which emerge from a battery module in the event of a defect thereof to the surroundings, and the exhaust duct having an inlet region through which the media enter the exhaust duct from the housing interior, and a first deflection region which is designed and configured to change the transport direction of the media.
