    摘要： A method for updating display image of an electrophoretic display panel and an electrophoretic display apparatus using the same are provided. In the aforementioned method, the gate lines of the electrophoretic display panel are divided into a first group and a second group. The display data related to pixels coupled to the gate lines of the fist group need not to be updated. Furthermore, the display data related to at least one of the pixels coupled to the gate lines of the second group need to be updated. The first type gate pulses are provided to the gate lines of the first group respectively, and second type gate pulses are provided to the gate lines of the second group respectively. The second type gate pulse has a predetermined pulse width. The pulse width of the first type gate pulse is shorter than the predetermined pulse width.

    摘要： A method for updating display image of an electrophoretic display panel and an electrophoretic display apparatus using the same are provided. In the aforementioned method, the gate lines of the electrophoretic display panel are divided into a first group and a second group.     摘要： An electrophoretic display and a driving method thereof are provided. The electrophoretic display includes a display panel, a storage unit, a timing controller (TCON). The display panel has a plurality of sub-pixels. The storage unit stores a plurality sets of driving waveforms, wherein the lengths of driving waveforms in the sets of driving waveforms are different from each other. The TCON has an analysis module, couples to the display panel and the storage unit, and receives an image signal having a plurality of display data. The analysis module analyzes the display data to obtain a analysis result. The TCON selects one of the sets of driving waveforms according to the analysis result, and drives the sub-pixels according to the selected set of driving waveforms.

    摘要： A driving method of an electrophoretic display having at least a display particle is provided. The driving method includes the following steps. A first voltage difference is applied to a data line in a first period, in which the data line corresponds to one of the display particles. At least a particle restore period is inserted in the first period, and a second voltage difference is applied to the data line in the particle restore periods, in which the second voltage difference is different from the first voltage difference. With this method disclosed here, the maxima brightness, maxima darkness, contrast ratio, color saturation, bistability, and image updating time can be largely improved.
