摘要： A display includes a power switch, a serial bus interface, a microprocessor and other necessary components. The serial bus interface is configured to connect to a serial bus interface of a computer through a data cable. The power switch is provided to be pressed down by user, which is used to turn on or off the display. The microprocessor determines whether the duration of pressing on the power switch exceeds a predetermined period of time. If yes, the microprocessor further determines a current state of the display. If the display is “off”, the microprocessor transmits a sleep control instruction to the computer and controls the computer to fall asleep. If the display is “on”, the microprocessor transmits a wake-up instruction to the computer and wakes up the computer. A method of controlling a computer to fall asleep is also provided.

摘要： The invention provides a portable computer with shared hardware resources that can be used by other computers. The portable computer includes an interface converter, a control module, a power management module, and a power path switch. When the portable computer is powered off and connected with a computer host through a serial bus interface, the shared hardware resources of the portable computer obtain power from the computer host through the serial bus interface. The interface converter converts data between a shared hardware resource interface format and a serial bus interface format, and enables the shared hardware resources to communicate with the computer host and therefore are employed by the computer host. In one embodiment, the shared hardware resources include a keyboard. In another embodiment, the shared hardware resources include a keyboard and a display.

The touch device includes a display unit, first infrared receivers, first infrared emitters, second infrared receivers, second infrared emitters, a storage unit, and motors. The first infrared receivers and the first infrared emitters are arranged on a first side of the display unit, and the second infrared receivers and the second infrared emitters are arranged on a second side of the display unit. The storage unit stores a table recording a relationship between identification and set of coordinates of the infrared receivers. The method includes: controlling motors to drive infrared emitters and infrared receivers to rotate; determining whether electrical signals comprising the identification of one first infrared receiver and one second infrared receiver are simultaneously received; if yes, determining the set of coordinates of the touch spot; determining an icon and determining the corresponding function corresponding to the touch spot.

摘要： An exemplary electronic device is connected with an earphone. The earphone includes a first storage unit storing information as to functions of the earphone. The electronic device includes a second storage unit storing a function information table recording information as to user-controllable functions of the electronic device, function units corresponding to the user-controllable functions, an identifying module, and a control module. The identifying module retrieves the information as to functions stored in the first storage unit, and determines whether one or more of the controllable functions of the electronic device are controllable by the earphone. The control module activates all of the function units corresponding to the controllable functions of the electronic device which are controllable by the earphone, and controls one or more of the activated function units according to one or more control signals transmitted from the earphone to the electronic device. A related method is also provided.

If the percentage of the pixels of the image reaches a threshold of similarity to the pixels of one standard image, acquiring the parameters associated with the standard image; and controlling the capturing unit to capture subsequent images according to the parameters associated with the standard image.

The impedance of the earphone can be matched on the output impedance of the media player by adjusting the impedance of the adjustable impedance unit when an earphone is connected with a media player.

摘要： A testing system for measuring an electronic device includes a main controller for generating a control signal, a signal generator for outputting a predetermined test input signal according to the control signal, an instrument unit having a plurality of instruments, and a testing port having a plurality of probes. The plurality of probes connects corresponding testing points of the electronic device to the signal generator and the instruments. The predetermined test input signal is transmitted to the electronic device via the testing port. The instrument unit processes a test result signal outputted by the electronic device and outputs a result data. The main controller receives the result data and computes whether the result data is within a predetermined range. A related testing method is also provided.

摘要： A card tray ejection mechanism for an electronic device, which includes a first elongated member rotatably mounted to the base, a second elongated member, and a driving member. The first elongated member includes a first end portion resisting against a side of the tray, a second end portion opposite to the first end portion and a pivoting rod located between the first and second end portions. The second elongated member is rotatably connected to the second end portion. The driving member drives the second elongated member to move longitudinally. When the second elongated member is driven to move longitudinally by the driving member, the first elongated member is driven to rotate around the pivoting rod by the second elongated member, and the card tray is ejected. An electronic device using the card tray ejection mechanism is also provided.
