    Abstract: Liquid drug transfer device for use in a Ready-To-Use liquid drug transfer assemblage for establishing flow communication between a liquid source and an injection vial. The liquid drug transfer device includes an injection vial adapter for mounting on an intact injection vial having an injection vial stopper without puncturing same, a liquid source adapter for attachment to a liquid source, a dual ended liquid transfer member for flow communication with the liquid source and puncturing an injection vial stopper, a safety catch mechanism requiring an initial manual linear sliding extension for priming the liquid drug transfer device, an extension limit arrangement for limiting the linear sliding extension, and a snap fit securing arrangement for securing the liquid source adapter on the injection vial adapter after actuation.

    Abstract: Syringe assemblies including a syringe pre-equipped with an integral liquid drug administration device for enabling administration of liquid drug contents and a drug vial adapter for telescopic mounting on a drug vial containing liquid drug contents. The drug vial adapter is initially mounted on the syringe and is intended to be manually detached therefrom to expose the integral liquid drug administration device. The syringe includes a flow control member having an initial flow path position for enabling filling the syringe with liquid drug contents from the drug vial and a final flow path position for enabling administration of liquid drug contents. Detachment of the drug vial adapter from the syringe urges the flow control member from its initial flow path position to its final flow path position.

    Abstract: Dual vial adapter assemblage modified including a drug vial adapter having a female connector fitted with a normally closed needlefree swabable self-sealing access valve, a liquid vial adapter with a male connector and a manually operable flow control arrangement. The flow control arrangement has three operative positions including an initial extended set-up position, an intermediate compacted flow communication position and a final detachment position for separating the drug vial adapter and the liquid vial adapter. The liquid vial adapter and the drug vial adapter are engaged in the initial extended set-up position and the intermediate compacted flow communication position. The self-sealing access valve is closed in the initial extended set-up position and compressed open in the intermediate compacted flow communication position.

    Abstract: A liquid transfer device is provided for mixing a medicament additive contained within a vial with an infusion liquid contained within an infusion liquid container to form a medicated infusion liquid. The liquid transfer device includes a trifurcated connector body defining a barrel at a first end thereof, an IV spike at a second end thereof and a vial adapter lumen with a vial adapter secured thereto at a third end thereof. A plunger having an IV port is slidably engaged with the barrel to form a syringe integrated with the device. The syringe enables the device to flush out the flow path between the IV port and the IV spike connected to the medicated infusion liquid, and any residual unmixed medicament additive therein, after combining the medicament additive with the infusion liquid.
