An adhesive is poured over the entirety of the glass component and the frame. Starting at one edge of the glass component a second glass component is lowered down until an adhesive wave progresses across the glass component, until the second glass component in position.

    摘要: An electronic display having one or more thermal plates in thermal communication with an image assembly and a thermally-conductive housing (and optional door frame). In some embodiments, the thermal plate is in thermal communication with the door frame which is in thermal communication with the housing. A channel may be defined between a transparent plate assembly and the image assembly where a fan may force cooling air through the channel. The cooling air may also pass through apertures in the thermal plate(s). An exemplary image assembly may provide an LED edge-lit LCD or an OLED display. In some embodiments, two displays may be provided in a back-to-back orientation within a single housing. The display may dissipate heat without the need to ingest ambient air.

    摘要: A cooling system for an electronic display. Transparent cooling chambers are used to extract heat from the front display surface of an electronic display. A refrigerated air source is in gaseous communication with the cooling chamber. Additional fans may be used to cool other components of the electronic display. Multiple displays may be used where each display and the refrigerated air source is housed within the housing. The housing contains air inlet and air exhaust ports. An air curtain device may be used with some embodiments. An open-loop, closed-loop, or both types of designs may be used with the cooling chambers. Temperature sensors may allow the refrigerated air source(s) to be selectively engaged depending on the temperature of the air within the cooling chamber or the temperature of the front display surface. Ambient temperature sensors may also direct the switch between open and closed loops.

The components in the system are preferably housed within the electronic display housing. The cooling chamber defines a fluid compartment that is anterior to and coextensive with the electronic display surface. Circulating coolant removes heat directly from the electronic display surface by advection. In order to view the display, the coolant fluid is transparent or at least semi-transparent. The image quality of an exemplary embodiment remains essentially unchanged, even though coolant is flowing over the visible face of the electronic display surface.

An exemplary embodiment includes a transparent gas cooling chamber. The electronic components which operate the system are preferably housed both within the electronic display housing and within the cooling chamber. The cooling system defines a gas compartment that is anterior and posterior to the electronic display surface. Fans may be used to propel the isolated gas through the cooling system. The circulating gas removes heat directly from the electronic display surface as well as the electronic components which operate the display. The isolated gas is transparent or at least semi-transparent. The image quality of an exemplary embodiment remains essentially unchanged, even though the gas is flowing through a narrow channel over the visible face of the electronic display surface.

Other embodiments may provide an ordering system in proximity to the pump where the in-store goods are purchased within the store. Exemplary embodiments would be capable of producing high-definition video on the touch screen display. Some embodiments also include audio systems and proximity sensors. Wired or wireless electrical connectivity may be used to send the video and/or GUI data to the touch screen display.
