摘要： An electronic display which can be serviced without having to remove the display from its mounted position. A front housing and a rear housing are hingedly attached so that the front housing can rotate and allow access to the interior of the display. An axial force mechanism can be used to aid in rotating the front housing to an open position. A locking collar, support member, or axial locking member may be used to ensure that the front housing remains open. A removable front glass assembly or removable glass panel may be used with an exemplary embodiment. The front glass assembly or glass panel can be easily replaced if it becomes damaged by minimally-trained personnel. Gutters may be used between the front and rear housing as well as the front housing and front glass assembly to ensure an adequate seal against contaminates.

摘要： An electronic display having one or more thermal plates in thermal communication with an image assembly and a thermally-conductive housing (and optional door frame). In some embodiments, the thermal plate is in thermal communication with the door frame which is in thermal communication with the housing. A channel may be defined between a transparent plate assembly and the image assembly where a fan may force cooling air through the channel. The cooling air may also pass through apertures in the thermal plate(s). An exemplary image assembly may provide an LED edge-lit LCD or an OLED display. In some embodiments, two displays may be provided in a back-to-back orientation within a single housing. The display may dissipate heat without the need to ingest ambient air.

One or more fans are placed to draw cooling air along the ribs to remove the heat removed from the component. Exemplary embodiments have power modules and the electronic image assembly in thermal communication with the ribs. Conductive thermal communication is established between the ribs and the components in the exemplary embodiments.

摘要： A device for providing support to an LCD and its corresponding components during various manufacturing steps. A first carrier section is positioned on a work surface and is then loaded with an LCD as well as drivers to be bonded to the tabs of the LCD. Once the desired work has been performed a second carrier section is mated with the first carrier section and a closing means is utilized to position the two carrier sections in a closed position. Once the two carrier sections have been placed in a closed position about the LCD and other components, the entire piece may be safely removed from its position on the work surface for further processing, storage, etc. Exemplary embodiments also relate to a method of providing support to an LCD and its corresponding components during various manufacturing steps.

摘要： A system and method for cooling an electronic image assembly having a plurality of channels place behind the electronic image assembly. A first fan may be used to force cooling gas through a first grouping of channels while a second fan may be used to force cooling gas through a second grouping of channels. Temperature sensing devices may be positioned so as to measure the temperature of the first and second groupings of channels. The speeds of the first and second fans may be adjusted based on the temperature measurements of the channel groupings. Additional fans with additional temperature sensing devices may be used for further accuracy and control over the temperature gradients of the electronic image assembly. Manifolds may be used to distribute/collect cooling gas to/from the channels.
