    摘要： The present invention uses multiple broadcast television channels to distribute high volume of data to a client device from a server. Multiple analog channels are broadcast, at least one of which contains video/audio programs and control data inserted into the analog signal's VBI; and at least one separate channel contains a digital data stream which is modulated onto an analog channel and associated with channels containing those video/audio programs. STBs designed to implement this invention are equipped with at least two tuners in order to tune to two of those channels simultaneously. One tuner is used to tune to the video/audio channel, and extract the control data in the VBI. The second tuner is used to tune to the channels containing the data itself.

    摘要： A system and method for responding to a query. An original query is received. A first semantic query and a second semantic query are extracted from the information of the original query. The first semantic query is transformed, based upon semantic analysis, into a numeric model query. The second semantic query is submitted to a semantic analyzer and the numeric model query is submitted to a numeric model analyzer. A response for the second semantic query and a response for the numeric model query are integrated into an answer for the original query.

A public relations query expressed in natural language is received from a user. A set of relevant topics and subjects associated with the query are identified. A set of information sources are identified that comprise data associated with the set of topics and subjects based on the set of topics and subjects. A set of data from the set of information sources is identified that satisfies the query. A set of weights are assigned to the set of data that has been identified. A set of data elements within the set of data that comprises a set of weights above a given threshold are identified. A response to the query is generated using the set of data elements that has been identified.

    摘要： A system and method wherein a sender can create an e-mail or other communication cancellation request which identifies a previously-sent communication, bears the communication type designation of a cancellation request as its “subject” or “reference”, and is automatically communicated to all of the same sites to which the previously-sent communication was sent. At the receiving end, a cancellation agent monitors the “subject” of all incoming communications to determine if any are cancellation requests. If a cancellation request is detected at the receiving end, the cancellation agent locates the identified communication and deletes same. Once the communication has been deleted, the cancellation agent replies to the cancellation request by notifying the sender of the location at which the identified communication was found (e.g., inbox folder, trash folder, etc.) and of deletion of the communication. Should the cancellation agent be unable to locate the communication, due to the fact that the recipient has permanently deleted the communication or has downloaded same, the sender is notified of that fact.
