摘要： Systems, methods, and other implementations described herein relate to a battery for use in a battery cell assembly that facilitates pack manufacturing. A method of manufacturing the battery cell assembly for the battery pack includes providing at least one battery cell in the battery cell assembly. The battery cell includes at least one prebent electrical tab. The method further includes operatively connecting a busbar to the prebent electrical tab on the battery cell, without substantially deforming the prebent electrical tab, whereby subsequent bending of the at least one prebent electrical tab is unnecessary.

The assembly includes an expandable battery cell having a first and second face, and the first face moves away from the second face as a result of the battery cell expanding. The assembly further includes a first and second cell frame. The first cell frame includes an outer peripheral extending toward the second cell frame. The second cell frame includes an outer peripheral extending away from the second face of the battery cell. Additionally, the outer peripheral of the second cell frame and the battery cell are disposed within the outer peripheral of the first cell frame with the first face facing the first frame and the second face facing the second frame.
