Abstract:
A conveyor belt device wherein a detectable coating, such as in the form of a thin film, overlies selected portions of a conveyor belt substrate surface. Suitable detectable coatings include materials that are inductive, conductive, magnetic, reflective, fluorescent and color-indicating or a combination thereof. Also disclosed are associated or corresponding conveyor belt assemblies and methods of making.
Abstract:
A coupler guard configured to protect an aux coupler assembly from side impacts in the rough use environment of a loader. The coupler guard comprises an encasement and a side plate. The loader comprises the aux coupler assembly and a hinge extension. The encasement wraps around a top portion and interior side of the aux coupler assembly. The side plate attaches to a portion of the encasement and protect an exterior side portion of the aux coupler assembly. A screw assemblies selectively attaches the encasement to the side plate. A ring attaches to a portion of the side plate. The ring selectively wraps around a portion of the hinge extension of the loader. A ring screw assembly selectively holds the ring and the rest of the coupler guard to the hinge extension. An edge trim selectively sits on top of a portion of a first arm.
Abstract:
A microprocessor simulation method, system, and program product built upon the underlying hardware design of the microprocessor. The method, system, and program product stops normal functions of a simulation testcase, starts the scan clocks, records a first “snap shot” of the scan ring data at this initial time. The hardware logic then rotates (shifts) the scan ring using the current scan data, and when the scan clock stops (where the stop of the scan clock is controlled based on the number of latches on the scan ring), another “snap shot” of scan ring data is taken. The “snap shots” are compared and if both of the “snap shots” are identical the functional scan is successful. But if the functional scan verification fails to rotate the scan chain correctly, that is, if some of the latches do not match in the two “snap shots,” it becomes necessary to locate the broken spot within the large number of scan latches.
Abstract:
A system and method of keeping records includes recording information and metadata associated with the information. The metadata is protected from changes. The information can be displayed to a second user for acknowledgement. Acknowledgement by the second user can also be recorded. The metadata can provide an audit trail for reviewing additions, deletions and changes to the records.
Abstract:
The invention relates to the extrusion of filamentary strands of reconstituted tobacco through a die plate and the downstream handling thereof. The die plate is configured such that each filament is of a square or rectangular cross-section, the downstream handling of which effects draw down of the extruded filament.
Abstract:
A programmable, customizable system, method, and apparatus for attracting and stimulating aquatic animals are disclosed. The present invention provides for the underwater playback of digitally prerecorded “signature” sounds of prey, and of prey being attacked and eaten, in order to attract fish and other species and stimulate them to strike and feed more aggressively. Playback is achieved by selecting any of a plurality of signature sound recordings stored on a memory device which is located and controlled above water. One sound, all sounds, or a selected sequence of sounds may be selected from the memory device to be played underwater. Underwater playback is achieved by use of a submersible transducer device which may function as both a speaker and a hydrophone. Underwater playback may be customized and controlled above water by providing a number of customized operational modes. For example, a user may select a sound recording to be repeatedly played in a loop, with each iteration separated by a delay period, the length of which is selected by the user. In addition, the user may select a plurality of different sound recordings, and specify the sequence and volume at which they are played underwater, as well as a delay period between each recording. The user may also select all sound recordings to be played at a selected volume level, and the user may further specify a delay period between each recording. Furthermore, the user may select sound recordings to be played underwater at varying volume levels according to selections made by the user.
Abstract:
Shower trays and like articles are formed from a composite article in which an outer shell of plastics material encases a core of filler. The outer shell includes upper and lower members that co-operate to form the outer shell.
Abstract:
An improved, user-friendly silane/silica sol copolymer hardcoating composition for protecting optical plastic and other substrates (including wood, metals, glass, plastics and most coated articles) from scratching is able to be manufactured at lower costs and to provide much-improved ease of use in transportation, storage, dipbath (or other coating tank) stability, and blush resistance in ordinary cleanroom atmospheres. The silane/silica sol copolymer is formed as a direct reaction product of an acidic silica sol and monomethyltrialkoxysilane, preferably substantially monomethyltriethoxysilane, in ratios of 30:70 to 70:30, most preferably about 40:60. A tail solvent aids blush resistance, reduces internal stress and permits adhesion to unprimed polycarbonate. Optionally, colloidal silica sol dissolved in water-miscible solvent may be reacted in a second stage with acidic aqueous colloidal silica sol earlier silanized with monomethyltrialkoxysilane.
