    摘要: The present invention is directed to a method of synchronizing data transmission through optical links between first and second communications components. Each of the first and second communications components include an optical laser for transmitting and receiving laser signals to and from each other through the optical links. In an embodiment, the method comprises the steps of: (a) initializing each of the first and second communications components; (b) enabling the optical lasers and optical sensors; (c) exchanging idle packets between the first and second communications components to establish a datapath across the optical links; (d) exchanging test data packets across the datapath established in step (c) to verify connection of the optical links; and (e) upon verification of connection of said optical links in step (d), enabling data flow between said first and second communications components. In particular, this method is applicable to synchronizing data transmission across a parallel optical link comprising a plurality of parallel links.

    摘要: A landscaping tow apparatus for cultivating dirt or land. The apparatus includes a U-shaped bracket rotatably secured to a tool head support, wherein the tool head support includes a plurality of tool heads removably secured thereon for cultivating the land. A hitch is further affixed to the U-shaped bracket and can mount the apparatus to a vehicle, such as a tractor or riding lawnmower. A pair of wheels are extendable from the bracket in order to engage the ground and lift the tool head support for rotation thereof. In operation, the hitch is secured to a tractor and the side of the tool head support having the desired tool head is positioned against the ground. The wheels are extended so that the tool head support can be rotated in order to have a different tool head engage the ground.

    摘要: A method and device for generating power using radiation pressure is described. The device comprises a turbine generator in which the turbine comprises optical resonant cavities or waveguides. The turbine rotates as a result of the force applied to the resonant cavities or waveguides by the radiation pressure of the circulating laser beam. Because of the amplification of the power of the input laser beam through resonant enhancement, the Photon Turbine Generator (PTG) has the potential for overunity efficiency (i.e., power output exceeding power input), lasting until the laser pumping mechanism or gain medium degrades or expires. The PTG may be built on either a macroscopic or microscopic scale. The PTG can provide clean, efficient, long-lasting power for diverse applications (e.g., energy, transportation, and electronic devices), while also supplying electricity to meet its own operational needs (e.g., laser pump power).
