Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a method and a system for securing a user interface (UI) panel of a multi-function device. The method includes activating a retraction assembly, based on one or more retraction triggering conditions. Once the retraction assembly is activated, multiple components of the retraction assembly start functioning. At first, the UI panel is moved to a first position. Next, the UI panel is moved from the first position to a second position. Then, the UI panel in the second position is retracted into the multi-function device to secure the UI panel inside the multi-function device. This way, the UI panel is secured inside the multi-function device. Later, the retracted UI panel may be moved out of the multi-function device. To move the UI panel outside the multi-function device, the retraction assembly is activated again based on the one or more protraction triggering conditions.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for allowing a user to add one or more bookmarks while scanning a document. The method includes receiving a document for scanning from a user. Once received, a user interface is displayed to the user to select an option to add one or more bookmark to the document. The document is scanned to get scanned pages of the document. Based on the selection of the option by the user, one or more bookmarks are added to one or more scanned pages of the document. Abstract: Systems and methods for secure transfer of printed documents from a print device to a user are disclosed. The systems may include a print device and a drone. The print device may also include an output tray configured to receive documents processed by the print device. The system may receive a print request from the user and determine whether the print request will result in a printed document that should be kept confidential. If printed document that should be kept confidential, the system may generate and transmit a first authentication information to the user. The system may then cause the print device to execute the print request and output the printed document to the output tray. A drone may then transfer the printed document from the print device to the user, and authenticate the user before allowing the user to access the printed document.

Abstract: There is provided a method for filling at least one color in one or more outline images at a multi-function device. The method includes providing a user interface for displaying a color fill option. Based on receiving a selection of the color fill option, a file including at least one outline image is received by a controller. The at least one outline image includes at least one image field. Then, it is identified by an image processor, if the at least one image field includes at least one color marking. Based on the identification, the at least one image field is automatically filled by the image processor according to the at least one color marking to generate a color filled image.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for generating multiple scanned files when scanning a document. The method includes receiving a document for scanning from a user. Once received, a user interface is displayed to the user to input one or more keywords based on which multiple scanned files are to be generated. A single scanned file is generated in a pre-defined format. One or more pages having the keywords as input by the user are identified from the scanned file. Based on the one or more identified pages having the keywords input by the user, separate multiple scanned files are automatically generated. Abstract: The disclosure discloses methods and systems for securing documents submitted for scanning at a device such as a multi-function device. The method includes scanning a document received from a user. A user interface is provided to the user to define a document type and to further define an access level for accessing the scanned document. Then, scanned data is generated. The scanned data is encoded based on a unique identity of the device and based on the access level such that the scanned data is accessible by the user and/or by one or more other users according to the defined access level. Finally, the scanned document is generated. Later when the scanned document is accessed by any user, details of the user accessing the scanned document is matched with details added in the encoded scanned data. Based on matching, the user is allowed to access the scanned document.

Abstract: The present disclosure discloses methods and systems for transferring rights, to release a secure print job from one user to another user. The rights to release the secure print job can be transferred based on a request from a primary user i.e., the user who submits the secure print job or based on a request from a secondary user i.e., the user who wants to release the secure print job on behalf of the primary user. Based on the request from any user, a multi-function device transfers rights to release the secure print job from the primary user to the secondary user. Here, transferring rights includes changing ownership of the secure print job from the primary user to the secondary user. Upon successful changing the ownership, the secondary user releases the secure print job originally submitted by the primary user.
