摘要： Provided are methods and tools for enhancing cognition in an individual. The methods involve presenting to the individual multiple sets of stimuli. Each set of the multiple set contains two or more stimuli and at least one set of the multiple sets contains a target stimulus. The method then receives an input from the individual, and informs the individual as to whether the input is a correct response. The methods encompass iterations of stimuli presentation, receiving of the input, and lastly, generation of feedback to the individual until the individual learns and retains what the target stimulus is.

The invention is also directed to an assay useful for identifying such compounds as N-type calcium channel modulators or blockers. The invention is also directed to the compounds of Formula (I) and compounds identified by the above assay, and the use of such compounds to treat, prevent or ameliorate a disorder responsive to the blockade of calcium channels, and particularly N-type calcium channels. Compounds of the present invention are especially useful for treating pain.

摘要： A device and method for of synchronizing a MAC superframe of a wireless device is disclosed. The wireless device can be located within a chain of a plurality of other wireless devices. The method includes receiving beacons from at least one other device during a superframe of the wireless device, determining a superframe offset for each of the other wireless devices based on timing of the received beacons, determining a corrective delay based on the superframe offsets, inserting the corrective delay within a current superframe of the wireless device, and inserting a predictive delay within the current superframe, the predictive delay being determined by an estimate of a difference between a frequency a clock of the wireless device and a frequency of a slowest clock of the other wireless devices within the chain.

摘要： Systems and methods for detecting a live human face in an image are disclosed. The methods and systems are capable of receiving multispectral image data that includes a human face. The multispectral image data can comprise visible light image data and near-infrared (NIR) image data. The multispectral image data can be processed to detect the human face. The detected human face in the visible light image data can be associated with the detected human face in the NIR image data to determine whether the detected human face is a live human face.
