Abstract:
An anti dive device for a motorcycle having a front wheel supported by front forks, each fork having an inner pipe and an outer case. The outer case of each front fork has two chambers filled with working fluid, at least two working fluid passages of different sizes between the two chambers, and elements to select which passage is open between the chambers. The device further has two brake assemblies and a hydraulic pressure generator. When braking torque is applied to the first brake assembly, a caliper bracket connected to the first brake assembly activates the hydraulic pressure generator, causing the activation of the second brake assembly as well as the selection of the smaller working fluid passage. Restricting the size of the passage causes the fork suspension to stiffen, thus preventing the motorcycle from nosediving upon braking.
Abstract:
Acid-treated and water-washed graphite particles are further treated with an aqueous solution of a phosphoric acid or a salt thereof, the expanded by heating to 20 to 70 times (in terms of bulk density ratio) the original graphite particles and the expanded particles are pressure-molded to obtain a graphite material having compressibility and recovering property and suitable for use in making those gaskets, packings, heat insulators, and cushion elements which are resistant to oxidation and serviceable at high temperatures.
Abstract:
A step-plate mechanism is provided for a door-opening/closing device that is powered by the downward movement of a step plate caused by a stepping force of a pedestrian, with the step plate being disposed on a floor at both the front and back of a door as seen by a pedestrian, including a return mechanism is provided to bias the step plate, which moves downward by the stepping force of the pedestrian, to return to its original position after the pedestrian passes.
Abstract:
To further reduce the space required for installation, and to facilitate installation of a device for opening and closing a door by the stepping force of a pedestrian, the door-opening/closing device includes a step plate (2) provided with multiple bearings, a link (5) whose one end is coupled to a bearing (6) of the step plate (2), with the bearing (6) disposed in a metal part fixed on the floor and coupled to the other end of the link (5). The step plate (2) remains horizontal when stepped on, and moves downward in an arcuate manner in the direction in which the pedestrian is walking. The door (1) is opened and closed using this displacement (i.e., the step plate's downward movement) as a motive force. The return mechanism of the step plate (2) is composed of a link extender in which the other end side of the link (5) is extended in the direction opposite from the step plate (2), and a weight (7) that is axially supported on the extending-end part of the link extender. When a pedestrian steps on the step plate (2) the weight (7) rises and the step plate (2) moves downward; and, when the pedestrian steps off the step plate (2), the weight (7) moves downward due to its own weight and causes the step plate (2) to rise.
Abstract:
A door opening and closing device for a slide door, which can be horizontally open and close the slide door by application of a light load and which can be constructed and maintained at low costs. The door opening and closing device has a transmission mechanism for converting through a lever (31) the amount of settlement of a tread plate (21) placed on floor surfaces at positions in front and back of the slide door (12), into a predetermined displacement amount. The tread plate (21) is weight-wise balanced such that the transmission mechanism and settlement of the tread plate due to the weight of an adjustment weight (W) causes the tread plate (21) to float through the lever (31). Up-down movement of the long transmission member (32) presses a drive rotation body (42) to an open door rail (41), and a component force of the pressing force allows the slide door (12) to be opened by application of a light load.
Abstract:
A door phone device includes a facial characteristics acquisition section which acquires facial characteristics from an image in which a visitor is imaged, an occupation attributes acquisition section which acquires occupation attributes of the visitor which has the same facial characteristics as the facial characteristics which are acquired by the facial characteristics acquisition section, and an action control section which determines an action according to the occupation attributes which are acquired by the occupation attributes acquisition section using registration information where the occupation attributes and the action are made to correspond in advance.
Abstract:
A frequency control apparatus and an information processing apparatus are disclosed wherein it is possible, in control of an operation frequency of a control object performed in response to a result of observation of an operation state of the control object, to limit the operation frequency or designate an allowable value or the like to achieve improvement in performance and power-saving. The frequency control apparatus (1) includes an observation section (3) for observing an operation state of a control object (2) which operates with a variably controlled frequency, a frequency determination section (4) for determining a clock frequency in response to the operation state, and a frequency limitation section (5) for limiting a range or a value of the clock frequency determined by the frequency determination section (4). If the frequency determined in response to the operation state of the control object (2) is within an allowable range, the control is performed with the frequency, but if the frequency is outside the allowable range, the frequency is limited to the range.
Abstract:
A twisting frame 1, and a method of twisting yarn 11 in which a twist is applied to the yarn by signals having a 1/f fluctuation to yield a yarn 11 in which the yarn count varies with a 1/f fluctuation. The first aspect is a twisting method that applies twist to a single yarn or a plural number of yarns, in which a twist is applied to the yarn or yarns by setting the twist count to correspond to the strengths of serial signals having a 1/f fluctuation.
Abstract:
A charge control device including: a charge control unit configured to select a power storage device to be charged from a plurality of power storage devices in accordance with degrees of subsequent deterioration of the power storage devices, the degrees being calculated based on battery information of the power storage devices each having a secondary battery; and a transmission unit configured to transmit a charge command to a power storage device selected by the charge control unit.
Abstract:
A box-shaped collecting part 11 consists of a bottom plate, a top plate, a pair of side plates, and a rear plate. An inlet 11f, as an open face which intersects with a scraping direction and lies at the front in the scraping direction, is formed in the collecting part 11. A scraping blade 12, a guide protrusion 13a, and comb teeth 14 are integrally formed with the collecting part 11 at the inlet 11f. When the guide protrusion 13a is made in contact with a surface 22a of a wax layer 22, the scraping blade 12 is positioned at a predetermined angle with respect to the surface 22a. When a wax scraper 10 is moved in parallel with a surfboard 21, the scraping blade 12 scrapes the wax layer 22. Waste of wax 23 caused upon scraping the wax layer 22 is collected in the collecting part 11.
