    摘要: A gas concentration measuring instrument using the dependency of the propagation velocity of ultrasonic wave propagating in gas on the gas concentration incorporates a dampproof ultrasonic sensor with a metal or the like deposited by evaporation on the surface of the sealing material. Therefore, this gas concentration measuring instrument is almost not affected by the change of temperature and humidity and can precisely measure gas concentration continuously for a long period of time under high humidity. The ultrasonic sensor is formed fundamentally by an ultrasonic vibrator, a holder and a sealing material. More preferably, this sensor is embedded in a block and sealed with an elastic sealing material and a film of conductive material and/or a nonconductive material is formed on the surface of the sealing material, the elastic sealing material, the vibrating end surface of the ultrasonic sensor and the end surface of the block.

A passage for irrigation solution extends in the horn body and the end plate portion. At least one bore opens at the cutting portions by a jet angle of 5.degree. to 90.degree. in respect of a plane of the end plate portion. The irrigation solution passage communicates with the bore, thereby the irrigation solution is sprayed therethrough.

    摘要: An ultrasonic surgical apparatus for crushing, sucking and removing undesirable substances inside the body such as an ulcerous tissue, thrombus and calcium clod by means of mechanical vibrations of a flexible ultrasonic probe (17). The surgical apparatus comprises a horn (5) connected to an ultrasonic vibration source (4) and adapted to transmit and amplify mechanical vibrations of an ultrasonic frequency, an ultrasonic probe (17) including a flexible linear transmitting member (44) having a working portion (21) adapted to effect mechanical vibration of an ultrasonic frequency, a horn cover (6) at least a portion of which is made of a flexible material, and a flexible tube (8) having three inner holes and three branch tubes communicating with the inner holes and connected to the horn cover (6) through the one branch tube (7). The ultrasonic probe (17) is disposed in one of the inner holes (20) communicated with the latter one branch tube (7), and a suction device (11) and a liquid injector (14) are connected to two of the branch tubes.

    摘要: A surgical instrument for cutting and separating biological tissue by employing ultrasonic vibration, particularly for cutting bones, separating the periosteum, and cutting and separating a coherent mass such as a calcium mass. An ultrasonic vibration-transmitting tool (5) which is connected to an ultrasonic vibration source (4) and performs mechanical vibration at the frequency of the ultrasonic waves has a spoon-shaped working portion (7) which is provided with at least one of a blade-shaped portion (25) forming a predetermined angle with respect to the direction of the mechanical vibration at the frequency of the ultrasonic waves and a blade-shaped portion (23, 24) substantially parallel with the direction of the vibration, the spoon-shaped working portion being adapted to be brought into contact with the biological tissue, and a liquid passage (21) passing through the interior of the ultrasonic vibration-transmitting tool, the liquid passage having an opening (22) which opens into the working portion. Further, by making of ceramic the whole part or the surface portion of the working portion (7) which is provided with the blade-shaped portion to be brought into contact with the biological tissue, it is possible to prevent wear deformation of the blade-shaped portion, and also to prevent transmission of electrical shocks to the nervous tissue in the event of a simple electrical fault state.

Thus, the mechanical resonant frequency can be traced in a wide range of fluctuations of a load on the vibration transmitter during vibration and vibrations can start an appropriate mechanical resonate frequency irrespective of the load status of the vibration transmitter at the start-up.
