摘要: The present disclosure relates to a catheter (1) and a method for manufacturing the catheter (1). The catheter (1) comprises a core tube (10) with a lumen (15) extending from a rear end to a front end along an elongation axis (x), a front portion (13) and a rear portion (11). The catheter (1) further comprises a flexible outer layer (20) forming a fluid reservoir (25, 25′) containing a fluid between the flexible outer layer (20) and at least a part of the front portion (13). The flexible outer layer (20) optionally comprises one or more radial eyelet(s) (23) arranged in front of the front portion (13) of the core tube (10) and being in fluid communication with the front opening (14), wherein the flexible outer layer (20) is more flexible than the core tube (10). Optionally, the catheter (1) further comprises a flexible inner layer (20′).

摘要: A laparoscopic suction/irrigation device of the disclosed invention encases a rigid inner cannula with a flexible outer cannula, the outer cannula functioning to insulate the inner cannula from unwanted electrical discharges. Upon translating the distal end of the outer cannula beyond the distal end of the inner cannula, the outer cannula returns to a preexisting curvilinear shape. This curved extension can thereafter be positioned via a proximal handle to concavities within the surgical site for precise and effective fluid retraction.

The irrigation system includes a console having a front panel with an inflow pump and an outflow pump. The front panel extends to a front edge of the console and the front edge is connected to a bottom side of the console. The attachable anti-sliding features include one or more feet attached to the bottom side of the console. Each foot has an L-shaped body having a first end and a second end with a first surface and an opposing second surface both extending between the first end and the second end. A protrusion extends from the second end of the body, forming the L-shape. The one or more feet are attached to the bottom side of the console such that the protrusion extends away from the console.

摘要: Certain aspects relate to percutaneous sheaths for medical procedures as well as to related systems and methods. For example, a system for performing a percutaneous assisted medical procedure can include a percutaneous sheath. The percutaneous sheath can include a first conduit for providing aspiration into the kidney and a second conduit for passing a catheter into the kidney. The system can also include an aspiration catheter configured to be inserted into the kidney through the second conduit of the percutaneous sheath. A fluidics system can include an irrigation source comprising a pump and an aspiration source comprising a vacuum. The irrigation source can be connected to a fluid inlet of the percutaneous sheath that is connected to the first conduit. The aspiration source can be connected to the aspiration catheter.

摘要: A portable hand-held medical device includes a body having a gun-type formation that includes a barrel. A guide wire device is housed in the body and is configured to advance and retract through the barrel. The guide wire device carries a bundled arrangement including a video system, an illumination system to support the video system, a fluid irrigation line, and a guide wire mechanism. The bundled arrangement is packaged as a unit in an insertion tube. The tip section of the insertion tube incorporates a camera, a light source, and a fluid irrigation port. A catheter is disposed at the end of the barrel, so that during operation the guide wire device passes through the catheter lumen. The combination guide wire device and catheter enter the urinary tract and perform a bladder evacuation process.

摘要: A sheath includes a sheath body, an inflow port at a proximal end of the sheath body, an outflow port at the proximal end of the sheath body, and a plurality of radially expandable flexible members which extend along a length of the sheath body. The plurality of radially expandable flexible members are attached to the sheath body at a plurality of anchor points along the length of the sheath body. The plurality of radially expandable flexible members expand during active fluid inflow. The radially expandable flexible members are spaced apart along the sheath body to define one or more isolated spaces that extend between adjacent radially expandable flexible members when the radially expandable flexible members are inflated within a body passage.

摘要: An occlusion clearing device for a patient has a housing with a motor(s) that generates repetitive motion, which is reciprocating, rotational or both. A clearing stem including a sheath that has a lumen, wherein aspiration is conducted through the sheath lumen. A wire is located in the sheath lumen and receives repetitive motion from the controller. The sheath terminates in a sheath end having at least one sheath opening. The wire terminates in a wire tip, which may be flat, helical, or tubular. The wire tip is positioned within the sheath end, in proximity to the sheath opening(s), and movement of the wire tip and/or sheath end relative to each other creates shearing forces that break up an adjacent occlusion.
