摘要: A motion control system is applied to a vehicle, which has front wheel side suspensions with an anti-dive geometry and rear wheel side suspensions with an anti-lift geometry. A degree of an anti-lift effect of the anti-lift geometry is larger than a degree of an anti-dive effect of the anti-dive geometry. Normally, a controller controls a hydraulic unit such that a brake force distribution between front wheels and rear wheels during a braking-period is adjusted to a basic distribution. In contrast, in a state where abrupt application of brakes is started, the controller controls the hydraulic unit such that the brake force distribution is adjusted to a first distribution, at which a brake force respectively applied to the rear wheels is larger than that of the basic distribution only for a predetermined short time period upon starting of the application of the brakes.

When abrupt steering operation is started from a straight-ahead driving state of the vehicle in a non-operating period of a brake pedal of the vehicle, a controller controls a hydraulic unit such that a brake force is applied to a radially outer one of front left and right wheels, which is located on an outer side in a radial direction of an arc of turn of the vehicle upon starting the steering operation, and also to a radially inner one of rear left and right wheels, which is located on an inner side in the radial direction of the arc of the turn for a predetermined short time period.

摘要: A motor driven brake apparatus is provided for braking a wheel mounted on a knuckle, and includes a brake member rotated integrally with the wheel, a friction member mounted on the knuckle to be capable of being in contact with the brake member, and an electric motor for driving the friction member toward the brake member to be in contact therewith. The motor is adapted to press the friction member onto the brake member to restrain the wheel from rotating. And, a motion converter is accommodated in an opening portion of the knuckle for converting rotating force of the motor into pressing force applied by the friction member onto the brake member. The motion converter is connected to the motor at a side thereof facing the vehicle body, and the motor is mounted on the knuckle.

摘要: A vehicular motor-driven brake apparatus includes an open circuit in which reciprocation of a master cylinder generating a brake pressure is caused by an actuator that operates according to a pedal operation amount, and brake fluid discharged from a wheel cylinder during pressure decrease is directly returned to a master reservoir subject to atmospheric pressure. A fluid amount replenishment control is executed during pressure increase of the master cylinder in which a master stroke is returned for only a predetermined time by operation of the actuator, and thus brake fluid is sucked up from the master reservoir to the master cylinder. Accordingly, when an ABS control continues for a long time period, even if the brake pedal is being depressed, reduced pressure brake fluid in the master cylinder is sucked up. Therefore, there is no limit to pressure decrease, and bottoming-out of the master cylinder does not occur.
