    摘要: A motion control system is applied to a vehicle, which has front wheel side suspensions with an anti-dive geometry and rear wheel side suspensions with an anti-lift geometry. A degree of an anti-lift effect of the anti-lift geometry is larger than a degree of an anti-dive effect of the anti-dive geometry. Normally, a controller controls a hydraulic unit such that a brake force distribution between front wheels and rear wheels during a braking-period is adjusted to a basic distribution. In contrast, in a state where abrupt application of brakes is started, the controller controls the hydraulic unit such that the brake force distribution is adjusted to a first distribution, at which a brake force respectively applied to the rear wheels is larger than that of the basic distribution only for a predetermined short time period upon starting of the application of the brakes.

    摘要: A vehicular motor-driven brake apparatus includes an open circuit in which reciprocation of a master cylinder generating a brake pressure is caused by an actuator that operates according to a pedal operation amount, and brake fluid discharged from a wheel cylinder during pressure decrease is directly returned to a master reservoir subject to atmospheric pressure. A fluid amount replenishment control is executed during pressure increase of the master cylinder in which a master stroke is returned for only a predetermined time by operation of the actuator, and thus brake fluid is sucked up from the master reservoir to the master cylinder. Accordingly, when an ABS control continues for a long time period, even if the brake pedal is being depressed, reduced pressure brake fluid in the master cylinder is sucked up. Therefore, there is no limit to pressure decrease, and bottoming-out of the master cylinder does not occur.

    摘要: A brake hydraulic pressure generator is proposed in which the brake stroke fluctuate less when the amount of brake fluid consumed in the wheel brakes fluctuates. Even when the brake pedal force is increased after the brake assisting force has reached its maximum, the reaction force to the pedal force as well as the master cylinder pressure increases corresponding to the increased pedal force. The brake hydraulic pressure generator has a control valve including a spool and a cylinder and adapted to control the hydraulic pressure in a dynamic pressure chamber to a value corresponding to the stroke of an input shaft. It further includes a pressure sensor, a solenoid valve and a fluid chamber. When the pressure sensor detects that the difference between the pressure in the dynamic pressure chamber and the pressure of the high pressure source is below a predetermined value, the solenoid valve is adapted to close, thereby checking relative movement between the master cylinder piston and the input shaft toward each other.

    摘要: A vehicular brake apparatus, which is provided at a shaft of a motor that revolves due to depression of a brake pedal, has a variable gear mechanism including a non-circular spur gear that changes a reduction ratio from a high gear ratio to a low gear ratio along with revolution. Revolution is converted to linear movement by roller bearings interposed between two ramp portions each having a straight inclined surface, and a friction member is pressed against a disk by a friction material holding portion being moved in a straight direction. Further, a braking force is generated on the disk by the friction member and another friction member provided on the opposite side of the caliper. As a result, it is possible to generate a highly responsive braking force by the high gear ratio when revolution of the motor initially increases, and possible to reduce electric power consumption using a highly efficient motor speed by changing from the high gear ratio to the low gear ratio in accordance with the motor revolution speed.

    摘要: A master cylinder includes a second piston that is provided with a hollow portion. The hollow portion includes a yoke portion for receiving an end of the second return spring, a cylindrical portion having a diameter that is larger than the diameter of the second return spring, and a tapered portion located at the open end of the hollow portion. The second return spring is disposed within the yoke portion so that the second return spring is coaxially arranged with respect to the second piston. Thus, although the second return spring is capable of moving rapidly to and fro within the hollow portion, the construction of the second piston and the arrangement of the second return spring within the hollow portion of the second piston helps avoid interference between the second piston and the second return spring. Thus, unpleasant noise can be reduced or eliminated. Moreover, small particles that would normally result when the second return spring scratches the second piston are not as likely to arise.
