    摘要: A device for holding a laser diode (LD) and a collimate lens. A laser unit includes an LD supporting section supporting the LD, and a lens supporting section supporting the lens positioned opposite to the LD. A connecting portion connects the lens supporting section to the LD supporting section. An adjustment section for adjusting a relative position between the LD and the lens is provided in association with the LD supporting section. The adjustment section allows the LD supporting section to be movable and position-fixable with respect to the lens supporting section as if the LD supporting section serves as a leverage about the connecting portion functioning as a fulcrum.

    摘要: A laser beam scanner converges a laser beam by using a first fθ lens and a second fθ lens in a main-scanning direction and in a sub-scanning direction, respectively, onto a photosensitive medium, thereby forming a scanning line on the photosensitive medium along the main-scanning direction. Before scanning the photosensitive medium, the laser beam that has passed through and been converged by the first fθ lens, but not passed through the second fθ lens, is guided to a beam detector and converged by a cylinder lens in the sub-scanning direction so that the laser beam falls within a detection area of the beam detector. The beam detector determines a scan start time by detecting the laser beam.

    摘要: A scanner unit having an optical element supported by a supporting plate. The supporting plate includes a first engagement portion, first spring portions, a second spring portion and a second engagement portion. The first engagement portion engages protrusions of supporting pins that support a reflective surface of a beam detection mirror in a predetermined position. The first spring portions urge the beam detection mirror toward the supporting pins. The second spring portion urges an upper surface of the beam detection mirror and holds the mirror between a bottom plate and the second spring portion. The second engagement portion engages a flange to prevent the supporting plate from coming off upward against an urging force from the second spring portion.

    摘要: An optical scanner includes a light source, optical deflector, mirror, first photosensitive drum, and second photosensitive drum. The light source emits a first light beam and a second light beam. The optical deflector deflects the first light beam and the second light beam. The mirror has a reflecting part that reflects the deflected first light beam and a passing part that passes the deflected second light beam. The passing part is displaced from the reflecting part. The first photosensitive drum performs a development with a first toner having a first color. The reflected first light beam scans the first photosensitive drum in a main scanning direction. The second photosensitive drum performs a development with a second toner having a second color different from the first color. The passed second light beam scans the second photosensitive drum in the main scanning direction. The first photosensitive drum and second photosensitive drum are arranged in a sub scanning direction orthogonal to the main scanning direction.
