摘要: A method of processing original still picture data representing an original still image and stored in a video memory and storing processed still picture data representing a processed still image in a predetermined location of the video memory comprising the steps of setting an XY orthogonal coordinate system on the video memory, setting a reference line parallel to one of the X and Y axes of the orthogonal coordinate system and passing through a point of intersection of lines, each of which connects corresponding pixels of the original and processed still images, moving multiples the pixel data on a line of the original still image parallel to the reference line and furthest from the reference line to addresses of the video memory forming a line of the processed still image, and repeating the preceding step for pixel data on lines of the still image parallel to the reference line and second furthest from the reference line and succeeding lines, to thereby store the processed still picture data representing the processed still image in the video memory. An apparatus employing this method for processing original still picture data is also provided.

摘要: A picture processor for a video conference device, etc., can be used easily by carrying it into a room other than the video conference room, has an object of enabling the display of the input picture to be switched freely even if the picture of the line drawing is displayed together with the input picture. The picture of a line drawing, etc., is held at the corresponding position even in cases where the display of the input picture is switched by updating the input picture data, which is stored in the input picture memory 40, on the basis of the line drawing data and by writing the picture expressed with the line drawing data directly in the input picture, which is stored in the input picture memory 40.

摘要: To allow a broadcast transmission to be preformed successfully.A source device 10 reads out EDID from EDID ROMs 30a-1 to 30a-N of sink devices 30-1 to 30-N, respectively, by using information transmitting and receiving function. The source device 10 determines a transmission data format in an AV stream so as to be compatible with all of the sink devices 30-1 to 30-N, based on data format information in the EDID. The source device 10 broadcasts the AV stream based on the transmission data format determined as described above to the sink devices 30-1 to 30-N. The sink devices 30-1 to 30-N receive the AV stream broadcast from the source device 10. Since the transmission data format of the AV stream is compatible with all of the sink devices 30-1 to 30-N, all of the sink devices 30-1 to 30-N can successfully reproduce the received AV stream.

摘要: The present invention relates to a communication system, a transmission device, a reception device, a communication method, a program, and a communication cable, whereby high-speed communication can be executed while maintaining compatibility. In the event that an HDMI® source 71 and an HDMI® sink 72 execute two-way IP communication using a CEC line 84 and a signal line 141, a switching control unit 121 controls a switch 133 to select a partial signal making up the differential signal from a conversion unit 131 at the time of transmitting data, and controls the switch 133 to select a partial signal making up a differential signal from a receiver 82 at the time of transmitting data, and in the case of executing two-way communication using the CEC line 84 alone, the switching control unit 121 controls the switch 133 to select the CEC signal from the HDMI® source 71 or receiver 82 with the switch 133. The present invention may be applied to HDMI®, for example.

摘要: The present, invention relates to a communication system, a transmitter, a receiver, a communication method, a program, and a communication cable for providing high-speed bidirectional communication while maintaining compatibility. When an HDMI (R) source 71 performs bidirectional IP communication with an HDMI (R) sink 72 using a CEC line 84 and a signal line 141, a switching control unit 121 controls a switch 133 so that, when data is transmitted, the switch 133 selects a constituent signal forming a differential signal output from a converting unit 131 and, when data is transmitted, the switch 133 selects a constituent signal forming a differential signal output from a receiver 82. When bidirectional communication is performed using only the CEC line 84, the switching control unit 121 controls the switch 133 so that the CEC signal output from the HDMI (R) source 71 or the receiver 82 is selected. The present invention is applicable to, for example, HDMI (R).
