    摘要: A watertight connector is provided to create a reduced degree of connection resistance. The connector includes a female housing 20 to be connected with a male housing 10. A seal 30 is provided on the front surface of the female housing 20, and is held by a seal holder 40. The seal holder 40 presses the seal 30 against the front surface of an accommodating portion 11 to adhere the seal 30 to front opening ends of cavities 13 before the housings 10, 20 are connected with each other. Thereafter, tabs 23 penetrate the seal 30, and the seal 30 adheres to the outer surfaces of the tabs 23 to provide sealing between the cavities 13. Accordingly, during the connection of the housings 10, 20, resistance resulting from the sealing between the cavities 13 is only sliding-contact resistance created between the outer surfaces of the tabs 23 and the seal member 30.

    摘要: To prevent an electric wire cover from being attached upside down, ribs 16 and 24 are formed respectively on the outer peripheral upper face of a housing 10 and the inner peripheral lower face of an electric wire cover 20. Two wire distribution spaces 36U and 36L are provided between the housing 10 and the electric wire cover 20, extending along the upper and lower faces of the housing 10. When the electric wire cover 20 is correctly attached, the ribs 16 and 24 of the housing 10 and the electric wire cover 20 do not interfere with one another. However, when the electric wire cover 20 is upside down, the ribs 16 and 24 interfere with one another, thereby preventing the attachment of the electric wire cover 20.

    摘要: A connector is provided to achieve individual water protection while reducing connection force without complicating the construction of housings. The connector includes female housing 10 with an inner housing 11 formed with cavities 14 into which female terminal fittings 2 are insertable and an outer housing 12 accommodating the inner housing 11. A male housing 40 is provided with a smaller receptacle 42 into which the inner housing 11 is fittable, and male terminal fittings 44 are mounted to project into the smaller receptacle 42. A second gelatinous material 46 is mounted on a back surface 42A of the smaller receptacle 42 in advance while being penetrated by the male terminal fittings 44. As the housings 10, 40 are connected, the second gelatinous material 46 is compressed between the back surface 42A of the smaller receptacle 42 and a front surface 11A of the inner housing 11, thereby providing water protection between the housings 10, 40 and between the respective cavities 14 of the inner housing 11.

    摘要: A divided connector has an auxiliary connector (40A) displaceably mounted in a frame (20). The auxiliary connector (40A) is held in a semi-locked state by resilient locks (27) on the frame (20). When female and male connectors (F, M) are fitted to each other, the auxiliary connector (40A) is held by unlock preventing portions (52) of the mating connector that prevent the resilient locks (27) from being deformed in unlocking direction, and is connected with a mating side prior to the other auxiliary connector (40B). When this connection is completed, the resilient locks (27) are released and deform in unlocking direction to unlock the auxiliary connector (40A). The auxiliary connector (40B) is subsequently connected while displacing the auxiliary connector (40A) to a back side with respect to the connecting direction.

    摘要: This invention provides a connector which can receive a terminal member easily and positively. In the connector, a retainer 10 is provided on each engaging portion 12 with a guide ramp face 20 which is opposed to a cavity 2 at a temporary locking position. A terminal member 30 is pushed into the cavity 2 when the retainer is at the temporary locking position. The member 30 does not enter into an opening 6 on account of the correcting action of the guide ramp face 20, even if the terminal member 30 is pushed toward the opening 6. After the distal end of the terminal member 30 passes over the guide ramp face 20, and outer periphery of the terminal member 30 is pushed down by a front end of the face 20. Consequently, the terminal member 30 is prevented from entering into the opening 6 and moves in the proper passage.
