摘要: The present disclosure concerns the harnessing of the effect of a relay to enhance the ability to avoid the effect of interference at mobile stations. This is achieved either by overlaying beamforming for an indirectly reached mobile station so that a relay passes on this beamforming to the mobile station concerned, and retaining orthogonality therewith, or by harnessing a base station and a relay station together so that their combined effect is to provide spatial multiplexing to two or more mobile stations.

摘要: According to one embodiment there is provided a method performed in a transmitter side of a multiuser minimum square error linear precoding MIMO system that comprises a transmitter with a plurality of transmit antennae and a plurality of receivers. Each receiver of the plurality of receivers comprises a plurality of receive antennae. The method is a method of scheduling receivers from among the plurality of receivers and comprises obtaining, for some or all of the receivers, receiver channel information that quantifies the properties of transmit channels between receiver antennae of the receiver and transmit antennae of the transmitter and establishing an order for determining the receiver combining vectors of the some or all of the receivers. The order is established by selecting as a next receiver in the order a so far unselected receiver from the some or all of the receivers that minimally increases the mean square data transmission error. The establishing of the order is based on the channel information of any receivers previously selected in the order and of unselected receivers.

摘要: Systems, devices and methods are provided for incorporating a quality of experience (QoE) assessment into requests or negotiations for a particular quality of service (QoS) for an application in a communications network. A network may provide service in accordance with a particular set of QoS parameters in order to meet a user's requested QoE. A user may select a particular QoE for an application depending on costs associated with the corresponding sets of QoS parameters available from the network. Functionality to determine the correlation between a user's QoE and sets of QoS parameters may be implemented primarily in a user's electronic communications device, primarily in a network device, or in both of these devices. A separate device may be used for determining the QoE and corresponding sets of QoS parameters for various services or applications.

摘要: Methods and systems for determining placement of a virtual serving gateway. The method includes obtaining a set of input information. The input information includes network information and configuration information providing one or more parameters for placing the virtual serving gateway, and includes at least one mobility insensitivity criterion. Placement of the virtual serving gateway at one or more physical hosts is determined in accordance with the network information and the configuration information. The virtual serving gateway is distributively placeable across physical hosts. A set of output information is generated. The output information includes information identifying placement of the virtual serving gateway at the physical hosts, and a hosting percentage for each physical host.

摘要: Upon receiving a request for a virtual network and before admitting the requested virtual network, a virtual service provider controller may assess the ability of the virtual service provider network to meet conditions specified in the request. In particular, the virtual service provider controller may consider details of the traffic expected in the requested virtual network in the context of existing traffic on the virtual service provider network. Consideration may be given to geographic distribution of traffic, type of traffic, and key performance indices. Indeed, traffic of different types may be homogenized through the use of weighting factors to simplify the assessment. Upon determining that the virtual service provider network may not be able to meet the conditions, the virtual service provider controller may attempt to obtain additional resources from an infra-structure provider network or may attempt to adjust resources allocated to already admitted virtual networks.
